Close call...

Over the weekend I was driving to my sister's house.
As I turned in the driveway, the darkness turned bright as a huge flash of lightning lit up the night...less than a second later: boom.
Lightning had struck a gigantic tree that fell on the road I just drove by.

If I had been there 15 seconds earlier, I would have been squished like a bug.

Enjoy life while it's here guys. Sometimes it can flash before your eyes...literally.

Its weird to think like if i would have went to the bathroom before i left like i wanted too then a tree would of fell on me. Those kind of things happen a lot to me.

Indeed. If I would have hit one more red light, I might not be here right now.

A good friend of mine was killed about 3 years ago during a lightning storm while he was kayaking. He was 19.

Don't take life for granted, guys.

how weird. just a week ago a lightning bolt hit the house right in front of us. i went to cook some food and as a was looking out the window the lightning let off a huge crack and all these sparks shot from the roof of the house just 10 metres away.

Holy ****...i have been in a situation like that....

I was working in a warehouse and a Forklift truck from the otherside knocked a crate off the third story shelf down onto my side....I looked up and saw boxes and a crate comeing towards me...enough to say i didnt hang around for the consequences....the trolly i was pushing on the other hand wasnt so lucky

I had a close call around a year ago.

I was taking guitar lessons and I had to walk to the location where the lessons are given. They were doing some work on the side walk so I had to walk in the street. I'm walking for about a minute or two when all of a sudden a guy comes driving around the corner at least 70 MPH. (he was probably drunk) anyway he came about 5 inches (maybe less) from hitting me. My god I was so close to death.
