Apparently...Joblo.com and Chud.com has reported that everyone's favorite castaway is a leading contender for the role of Lois Lane in the upcoming Superman film...Here is the report:

Last night at a screening of The Grudge here in New York City, the boys from Latino Review were pretty proud of their big Superman scoop (Dave Davis expounds here). As they should be, he typed through his seething jealousy. While we all wait for official confirmation (Superhero Hype got unofficial confirmation from their insiders), let's turn our attention to the rampant rumormongering going on for the rest of the cast.

Spielberg's bestest site, JoBlo, is saying that their own scooper tells them that Evangeline Lilly is the leading contender for the role of Lois Lane. You probably know her best from her turn as "Kate" (I think those quotes are quite necessary) on Lost. I have to say that the former Ford model (sounds like an Edsel) has been nothing but great in her role on the very excellent new ABC TV series (I have been tinkering with a new THUD column just about the show, and my theory on "Kate" is that she's an eco-terrorist of some sort. An EarthFirst! type. I have a couple of reasons, but one of the most important is that she has to be a big enough criminal to warrant being chased, but good enough that we can forgive her. If she blew up a bunch of SUVs or something I wouldn't hold that against her.), and she would be a fine, no-nonsense gal reporter.

Of course, all of this may come crashing down faster than Nic Cage's marriage.

Weird, just read a thread over in Hype board that Mischa from OC is being consider *bleah!* she is too young and not that good of a actor

"Not that good of a actor" - biggest understatement in movie history. She is awful. I've seen wild monkeys give a better performance than her.

I wouldn't mind seeing Lilly cast as Lois, even though she's not my first choice. I don't know anything about Mischa from the OC, so I don't have an opinion on her.

This Mischa is she as in Barton? If so no way.

Actually never mind I've seen one of her in Superhero Hype. She could do it. I have no problems with her at all.

Sounds good to me I like her. Don't forget that acting on tv is much differant from movies.

Actually she's not bad, she's not my first choice to play Lois(then again I have almost no choices), but I can mentally picture her and Routh together (that's one other thing to consider.) Plus, she is f***** fine, so I wouldn't mind seein her as Lois Lane.

First off Lois was never meant to be the sexy character who was gorgeous like how you want someone to play her. She is meant to be the cocky, stubburn, and pretty New Yorker. She isn't a sex icon like other comic characters

Evangeline would be damn good as her

I know I may sound way off base. But since we've got a really unknown as Supes, how about big name for Lois?

Maybe Uma Thurman? She's proven to be tough in Kill Bill and she's not that strikingly beautiful. She looks more 'New York"-ish than the above mentions. Just a suggestion.

If you are going the unknown route, stick with it. I like it. I can't envision Uma Thurman as Lois. No.

Evangeline Lilly is gorgeous, and I can see her as Lois lane....she looks serious, while at the same time she is sexy.....as for Misha Barton as Lois Lane...can't see it :confused:

i could see rose as lois shes a great actress on charmed so i could see it .
