View Full Version : Rogue joining Wolverine in spin-off?

Might the recently announced "Wolverine" spin-off movie [from "X-Men"] actually be a spin-off for both Wolverine 'and' Rogue (played by Anna Paquin in the films)?

CountingDown.com reports : "According to FilmTracker.com, actress Anna Paquin (who plays the mutant teenager Rogue in the 'X-Men' movies) may be joining Hugh Jackman in writer David Benioff's 'Wolverine' spin-off flick. This is still unconfirmed, but it's an interesting rumor nonetheless".

If this is true, what this would mean is that the "Wolverine" film would be a sequel, set at the same time or after the "X-Men" films, since Wolverine didn't know Rogue until then, and not a prequel film which traces Wolverine's how's and why's, as previously mooted.

Interesting... But I'm not to keen on having Rougue in the Wolverine film. What do you guys think?

Unless she will be in flashes of things to come or if it takes place after the X-Men movies a flashback with Rogue

I like that she may be in it. She is played quite well by Anna imo and gives Wolvie someone to play off

maybe a good idea.. but remember, this Rogue does not have the Ms. Marvel powers, so her fights would have to be few and far between...

they should bring in rogue and then kill her off to get wolvie pissed

Maybe she should get Ms. Marvel powers in this movie it would make for a bit more story and a few better fights, maybe Ms Marvel was an old slave of William Stryker and is still some how under his power and on the hunt for Wolvernie for revenge when Rouge steps in and holds on for to long hence getting and keeping her powers. With Wolverines rage and Rouges super strength the fights would be ace.
