Fox Home Entertainment has officially announced I, Robot which stars Will Smith. This recent sci-fi film will be available to own in single and double-disc editions from the 3rd December this year. Retail for the single-disc will be around £17.99, whereas the two-disc special edition will set you back around £24.99. Both will feature a 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen presentation along with both English Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 Surround tracks. Extras on the single disc release will include an audio commentary by Director Alex Proyas and Screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, a second commentary by Production Designer Patrick Tatopoulis, Editor Richard Learoyd and the visual effects crew and a third commentary by I, Robot composer Marco Beltrami. Rounding things off will be a making of featurette, a gag reel, a stills gallery and trailers. The two-disc edition will include all of that along with a Post Production featurette, a Sentient Machines: Robotic Behaviour featurette, a About Science Fiction & Robots feature and another featurette entitled The Filmmakers’ Toolbox & Visual Effects.
