I dont know about you folks but i have not watched Nickelodeon, well for some years, guess cause i'm grown up, but when ever i pass nick, i see the GOWD AWFUL shows they have on, and remember the good old days when i watched nick (Every-single-freakin-day, and then i would watch nick at nite all nite) Anyone here miss the show like

Salute Your Shorts (my num 1 fav)

Hey Dude (loved it)

Wild and Crazy Kids (loved it)

Pete and Pete (loved it)

Are you Afraid of the Dark? (loved it, a few sucked though)

Rocko's Modern Life (loved it, most of the time)

Mr. Wizard (good old show)

David the Gnome (loved it when i was very little)

What would you do (sometimes corny, sometimes good)

You Can't Do That on Television (the best of nick!)

Weinerville (loved it very much)

Bill Cosby's Picture Pages (liked it when i was little)

Clarissa Explains it All ( loved it)

Double Dare (really loved it!)

Umm...I think you're missing one VERY prominant English cartoon.

I believe it was about a rodent Secret Agent with a mole as a side kick and a frog for a boss.

For some reason, the name of the show escapes me. :D

Nickolodeon now blows monkey balls. Back when I was a kid it was amazing. The shows were timeless. You left out Keanen and Kel I think. I was a nickelodeon freak. Going to the Nickelodeon studios was one of the best experiences of my childhood. I looked forward to snick every week. And nick at night had wonder years back in the day too. Now it just sucks.

I was just talking about these shows with my friends. I never watch Nick anymore; the only good show left is SpongeBob. I wish they had a channel that was devoted to Old-School Nickelodeon.

Yeah Pete and Pete needs to make it on DVD. Wouldn't mind Are you Afraid of the Dark on DVD either. Some of the storys they told were creepy! Wonder years deserves to get a DVD release to.They still Play the Nickelodeon Game Shows on Nick Gas Which is Guts Finders Keepers Legends of the Hidden Temple. Rocko is still shown on one of the Nick shows!

That's a cool idea. Someone should start a petition, because I'd bet there is a market for those shows. If a channel like Lifetime can make it. . .

All that was good. WAS good. Now they have a bunch of kids that cant act. The original cast made that show awesome.

Salute your shorts, and Hey Dude, were two of my favorites.

If we are talking about old school Nickelodeon then i hope we all remember Stick Stickley. That dude was awesome.

I agree, old-school Nick was better than the junk they have on now. I'm so glad somebody else remembers Pinwheel! You also left out Today's Special. Cheesy and very influenced by the '70s, but I liked it when I was a kid!

Awesome list there :D Belle and Sebastian is still my favorite cartoon ever - I have almost all the eps on VHS. I'm guarding them carefully :)

David the Gnome was awesome - pretty goofy now that you look back on it, but still...little nose-rubbing gnomes. You can't beat it :)

I never really thought about it when i was younger, but now that im older i guess i realized that Artie must of been retarded or something. Because he wasnt that big, i mean im probably stronger than he was. LOL, just something i never thought of when i was a kid.

My favorite old-school Nick show when I was a kid was Are You Afraid of the Dark?, but today it would probably be Pete and Pete.

what about back in the day when nickelodeon used to play "ren and stimpy"? we still have all the episodes on tape. i remember many a sunday morning spent with my dad watching those two lovable little critters. my friends and i think we have the exact moment this channel went straight to hell: the moment rocket power aired. now, this channel tries to be trendy and it's just ridiculous. and they don't even have any damned game shows. how ridiculous is that?

oh, and if anybody starts a petition, i'll sure as hell sign it.

Guys what about "You cant do that on televsion" that show to me was the funniest thing of that time on Nick back in the 80's. Also i remeber when they would have NICK REQUEST :where they play the videos u request. I have soo many of those things taped lol
