Grand Theft Auto Advance

Chad4214 has again come up with the goods, and we're premiering the first screenshots and information on GTA Advance right here on GTAGaming! Onward, to what every GTA fan that likes to travel's been waiting for.

-- The game will have a top-down viewpoint.
-- The game will be set in Liberty City, with an area twice the size of GTAIII to explore.
-- Three areas will unlock as you play the game. Portland, Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale.
-- Taxi, firetruck and ambulance missions are to be included, along with hidden packages to collect.
-- Asuka will return, with many missions centred around sorting out security for Casino owners.

stupid, stupid, suipid. It would have been SO much better if they released this for the nintendo DS. But at least the DS takes GBA cartriges.

GTA 1 was incredibly addictive and hella fun.

The first GTA was pretty fun but damn it's hard to shoot with a top view. I use to hate it when you have to take out a mob and all you had was a pistol. And when cops were after you it was imposibble to get out of the warent(sP) without getting your car spray painted

Not really. A goddamn stylus doesnt help you. The only thing that could be different would be the graphics and you dont need good graphics for the top down view

As for the top-down GBA version of Grand Theft Auto, which was also due to be released on 22 October, this is now scheduled for "late October" so we wouldn't be surprised for that to also be put back to 29 October to coincide with San Andreas.

There were rumors floating around that the Game Boy version would be Rated E. And I'm not too crazy about the top-down view. I tryed that once with GTAIII and found it to be rather difficult to manuver.

I think the top down view is good, it gives it the feel of the original game. And also if it was 3d it probally wouldn't be as good and it would have looked blocky

It would have been like the GBA version of Driver 2 which was really bad.

Not really IMO

Deus Ex that game had really bad graphics but it was still a great game. Half life is another example. Plus dude it's on GBA so you can't expect excelent graphics. The game wouldn't look good if it was in 3D so this is really the best they can do
