For those of you who wondered where Star Trek Generations was today, it was recalled by Paramount because there were extras not included on the disc that were advertised on the packaging. No word on when it will be reissued.

I had it in my hand, and the guy at circuit city scanned it and it said Do Not Sell until September 7th, 2005. We both think this is a typo but he called the manager and he said he wouldnt sell it to me.

They had it at Wal-Mart when I went today to pick up two other films. I guess either they didn't recall it in time or the stores just haven't pulled it yet.

Paramount just announced that they'll release it on the 28th of september. I was lucky to get the DVD a couple of weeks ago before it was recalled.

I went to Best Buy Circuit City, Wal-Mart, and K-mart and they all had it. The only stores not selling it are the on-line shops. The other stores said they never got a recall message. Plus i think it is stupid to recall all those discs just because of the typo about the trailers. Can't wait to see the idiots on e-bay...lol

They really aren't features, just trailers that you can get of the internet. No big deal. Got my copy today and i doesn't bother me

So it's just missing trailers? If that's all, I don't care. I just picked it up. If it's missing featurettes or something, I'll replace it.

I just bought it last night at Wal-Mart....I'll have to check on the missing trailers....but it does have an alternate ending to it, as well as several other deleted scenes. The alternate ending and deleted stuff is a little grainy and has the time code and property of Paramout on them, but they are watchable.

Neither the original DVD nor the upcoming re-release will include the trailers, so I won't be missing out on anything. Paramount wasn't able to secure the rights for the trailer to be distributed with the DVD. But the cover on the old DVD stated, that it included the trailers. That's why the DVDs have been recalled - to "repair" the coverart, not the DVD. The trailers will not be released on DVD. They weren't available on the old DVD edition either.
