Now if only there were online games available for the Gamecube.

Nintendo really needs to step it up in the online department.
If they don't realize soon that online gaming is the wave of the future, they're in trouble.

Not sure what that text meen, but they sure cant patent online gaming itself. ALl the other consoles (and PC) will ofcource still have online gaming :)

I have no idea what they meen....Other then that nintendo is finally moving into the online world.

yeah andrey... thats what I'm talking about... how ya gonna patent it... the way I understood it they are gonna make it hard for the other two consoles to have online play... but the internet of course they can't some kind of clause... you know if they succeeded at this... then nobody should buy Nintendo to show them not to try to monopolize the damn community.... competition is good for the buyers

nintendo cant patent the concept of online gaming but they can patent the process by which this occurs. This is meant to reward companies who spent the time and resources to develop new methods. If the other consoles want to put their games online, they had better find a different way.

hmmm? okay Crow that makes sense... didn't look at it like that... watcha saying is they spent time developing the technology... and when they come out they don't want others to just rip it off since they didn't put in no work... well then its kewl... lol

Good stuff, but I'm not interested in online play.
I barely play anymore and when I do its when friends are over....good enough for me.

online zelda? thats one of the dumbest things i've ever heard of. it would have to be like the four swords, which wasnt nearly as good as the rest of the games in the series. and i'm hoping that nintendo doesnt do anything like bringing a gba game to one of their systems again.

Online Zelda has a ton of potential. I imagine a huge overworld checkered with towns and dungeons and woods, etc. It is populated by hundreds of players all working interdependantly. They can trade for items, go on quests together, just hang out at the local pub, compete in archery contests, etc. It would be quite grand

I think you have bound your mind to the action genre. Zelda has a huge potential online as some kind of an MMORPG or something.
