Anyone ever get into the Tycoon games...Transport/ Rollercoaster. I just got Rollercoaster 2 and am totally adicted. I noticed that Locomotion is coming out soon - its like a semi sequel to transport tycoon and was curious if others were familiar with these games as I am getting into them.

RCT2 was too similar to the first one IMO, it was more like another expansion pack.
RCT3 seems to be the proper sequel as it is making bigger steps forward

all of sawyer's games are freaking addictive to beat the band. i spent entirely too much time on RCT 2....and locomotion seems to be bringing up similar "problems" again in the future.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 is gonna be really cool, i was hooked on 1 and all the expansions, 2 seemed like another expansion so i never got it, but 3 looks awesome.

this thread convinced me to get back into my sawyer roots and dig up the old RCT2....not a good thing....anyway, where are those screen shots from for locomotion....they're kinda small in that post.

I just picked it up. Being a big RCT fan and rollercoaster enthusiast in general Chris Sawyer brought making parks into your own home with ease. I bought Locomotion and its a very, very addictive game as was all of his previous games. Its very reminiscent of Transport Tycoon. Good buy. You should even try the demo.

yeah. i did try the demo. i got the game cause the demo was short. i am having difficulties getting all the stuff going on at once. the first level that i am in you need to transport 500 people - and i DO That through buses, but then all my oil production goes down. for people really good at this. is there a certain way that i need to approach it?

I picked up locomotion last week and can't quit playing! Tho you sound farther than i am. the gameplay is sorta like TT - but have you noticed the planes don't crash as often as they did in TT? I like the game a lot.
