I think this looks like it could be an interesting take on the D and D style of game. Action based set in the D and D world, but not an RPG if I am reading it right....anyone else heard much about this?

umm....well i dont really know about the game really....but from the way you describe it, it sounds like its worth a look. anyone have a link or anything?

Same developers as Two Towers. Hmmm. That might not be the best developers out there, but they know some stuff about third person action genre. (which this is :) ).

Could turn out pretty cool. An action game set in the D n D universe. Doubt it will ever come to the PC, so i wont have an oppertunity to play it :(

First release is PS2, then later X-box. No talks about a GCN release or PC.

andrey, do you know how much later the xbox release is? i've got both systems and usually like to own a game on the box, but not sure i can wait if its going to be a while. might be a ps2 pick up.

i finally caught an ad for this on gamespot today...caught my eye pretty well. this reminds me a lot of Gauntlet from back in teh day...anyone else? i was a freaking gauntlet fanboy, so i can see myself getting into this too.

I havn't seen any of the IGN ads...but I do have a pop up blocker so maybe thats why.

I know TTT wasn't the best..but it was pretty sweet - esp in terms of graphics, engine and cinematics...so combine that with an R.A. Salvatore storyline and I think that we have a pretty good game on our hands.

It just went gold too....so its out soon for PS2.

I dont know. There is no official release date for x-box yet. But i wild (!) guess would be 3-4 months later.

i thought the xbox release was in early november....im pretty sure thats when....yeah...just check gamespot and it says 11/16. so there ya go. word.

If Drizzt is in it, I will definitly get it after price drop. If he's a playable character or has a more major role than a cameo, I will get it before then. BTW, how do you know Drizzt will be in it? Just cause Salvatore wrote it?

It would be a nice plug for the Two Swords in October.

I know that Drizzt is in it from following the game over the past month or so and reading reviews. YOu can play him on one of the levels for sure.

BTW, do you know if they have a voice actor for drizzt or is it going to be like Link (the creator doesn't want the character to have a voice)?

I don't know who is voicing Drizzt. But I do know that Patrick Stewart is doing the voice for one of the other characters in the game so its feasible that there is a voice for him.

OK. Finally played it. Moving onto Chapter 3. I think its really cool. The graphics are UNREAL. The first level is really cool cause you can see a lot of stuff going on in the background..there multiple dimensions for it. I really like the game too cause the storyline is really integrated into (moreso than was in TTT) and its super cool. OH - there are also these things called Danger Zones - which are pretty cool cause you can hit enemies off the edge of cliffs and stuff like that and have them fall to their death. I am still trying to figure out the item and weapons and skills upgrades - but bascially my take on it is that its a nice addition of an RPG element to an action game. I give it a buy. =)

I just started this game yesterday and am on chapter 8 already. It's a really quick game with alot of action. Playing Drizzt kicked ass though... it was my fave part of the game so far. I'm used to playing long RPG's, but I had to play this one because Drizzt is my boy! :)
