Okay, so there are probably better fighters out there, but I'm a Tekken fan since I played Tekken 3.

So when I heard of a follow on to Tekken 4, I was a bit sceptical, but low and behold, they showed a trailer at E3. It looks mighty impressive with a better graphics engine, new characters and new moves for the characters

it can be found at www.tekken-official.jp (click on English and the important parts of the site are in english)

If I'm lucky, by 2006 I'll have had a hat trick on games and movies.

Games: Tekken 5, Mortal Kombat: Deceptions and Devil May Cry 3

Movies: Evangelion, Transformers and Tekken (all live action)

Back to Tekken, I'd like your thoughts on the game's past, present and future. And for a laugh, post you fav character and Tag Team if you have Tekken Tag.

I'll be back soon

Im was a huge Tekken fan and undefeatable among people I know...

Tekken1 was a nice new game with a lot of "wow" due to new graphics, but very ugly imo and bad gameplay.

Tekken2 has brought the light into the fighting game sector. Everything was great, better graphics, incredibly intense music (think of Kings stage!!!), great story and superb gameplay!!

Tekken3 brought it even to a higher level, by improving the graphics a lot and giving the story a nice turn and making it all gritty. Gameplay was perfect. (TT was the same with polished graphics and some nice effects)

Tekken4 was a HUGE let down. Although graphics are good (not as good as VF4 as its graphic really kicks ass), the polygons were bad, unnatural, some characters were way too small and the whole flair was gone. Not to mention stupid story development.

I hope they continue where T3 finished. T4 should be forgotten very fast.

My favorite characters are Paul, Jin and Jun (all from T2 or T3)...

Apparently the story of this one starts off with Heihatchi being killed by a team of Jake's, lead by one of the new fighters; Raven. Raven looks alot like Blade.

I've been a Tekken fan since Tekken 2 (which had the best opening movie in the series, btw). Tekken Tag Tournament was the best game in the series for me but Tekken 4 was somewhat of a disappointment. I'll definitely buy Tekken 5 though cuz I love the series.

Fav. Character: Hwoarang

Fav.Tag Team: Hwoarang & Bryan

Tekken Tag was the first game i bought for the PS2, and its one of the few games that i still play regularly. Fortunately, i never bought Tekken 4 as i seen how disappointing it was after borrowing it from a friend. Hopefully Tekken 5 will be a good game and i hope a tag option is there too! :)

Fav. Character: Lei

Fav. Tag Team: Lei & Law

Kazuya is one of the best characters of Tekken but they have ruined him in T4. He is too small, looks unnatural, like a cripple.

Hitman, Im looking forward to that!

You prolly wouldn't look so good if you'd been fished out of a volcano

No, his whole stature was unnatural, polygons were really bad. The whole atmosphere was bad and story too.

If Bryan's in Tekken 5 I hope his new body is badass. Knowing my luck his makeover will probably be all F'd up.

I hope they make those defensive grabs timing as it was...
