I agree with Halo7. Scorpion's my fav. character as well. He's just so damn cool and his moves are merciless. I can't wait to play as Baraka in Deception too. I think it'll be a lot better than Deadly Alliance but it's too bad Lui Kang's dead. I would've liked to do his fatalities. At least there's some destructible enviorments now like in MK3 and DOA3. That should make the fights that much more brutal.

I'm looking forward to the game. I haven't really kept up with any of the new games lately. But it does sadden me to see that they've dropped several of the original characters. Unless I missed it, Liu Kang isn't in the game.

I remember when MK2 came out for SNES.
I had my mom drive me all over town to find a store that had it.
Finally went to EB and they had ONE left! I was stoked.
I played the crap out of that game.

I saw Sub-Zero's new look in Game Informer a couple months ago. He looks better than he did in any previous installment imo.

My Favorite Character was the rare but unstoppable Smoke( i THINK that was his name). I played one MK game with him in it and dominated all of my friends. He was great, i guess maybe he was just my lucky character or soemthing, he was awesome.

I Think smoke and Chemeilian were the two hidden characters, im fairly certain reptile came out in the later games, but i am not sure. Dont hold me to that.

Yeah I prefer the layout and look of the Raidn and Scorpion ones, the Kollectors edition thing looks better, along with the XBOX Live and the little blood splat in the corner.

I made the other "useless" thread because XBOX and PS2 owners can discuss the game here because they get the game first in October, while the Gamecube owners have to wait next year. Mortal Kombat is great altohugh I hate how people assume your in it for the violence. I'm not. It's a fun fighting game and that's why I've been playinng it since MK1 for the Arcade!

I'm getting Deception for Xbox. It looks great and so far, Sub-Zero's fatality is my favorite.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy is currently my favorite MK game.

GOT MY COPY TODAY, been playing since noon. took 5 times for me to beat the dragon king though

and holy crap the opening video was amazing! And just for a tease 3 main characters die!

anyway the konquest is real cool, just got to the part where your allowed outside the town gates, those who play will know what im talking about.

puzzle kombat is really cool too but i havent gotten around to chess yet. I'm on xbox live so look for me *smile*

The opening sequence was really cool. I am not really sure about Konquest Mode will have to get use to that. I have never been really good at the free roaming kind of games. I really enjoy Puzzle Mode but I have always enjoyed Tetris. The graphics of course are amazing! I did pretty well in Kombat Mode using Scorpion(Haven't figured out how too throw his spear/hook yet). Still hoping too buy this sometime soon. IT RULES!!

Hey all I just beat the game in Kombat Mode using Ermac! I could not believe that they have you fighting two people at once at the level right before the last one. Noob & Smoke. Took me a few tries to beat the last fighter Onoga: The Dragon King! This game RULES!

i rented this game today and all around its pretty solid but not a huge improvement over Deadly alliance. sure theres more features but the story mode still needs more work. i mean when people talk in it it sounds like a spell and speak. oh by the way

Thanks for the info! This game is such a blast too play. My nephew & I was able to find and unlock Jade & Kenshi today. That Konquest mode is hard for me for some reason. I really need to buy this. I rented it and have it until Monday so I know I won't be getting much done with it. We were also able to get through Kombat mode using Baraka so I have been through it 3 times now. :D

I'm having trouble with the Gamespy network when playing online. It always freezes up whenever it says "FIGHT" and then I have to start all over. I'm having the same exact problem with Star Wars Battlefront and it is online by Gamespy as well. This is pissing me off!

Has anyone been able to get the chest that is suppose too have Lui Kang? It is suppose to be behind a tent at section G-8 in the Edenia Realm at 12:00am Friday morning. Have tried to find it there like 4 times now and it has yet too be there. Do you have to be behind the tent right at midnight? Any help would be appreciated.

I unlocked Liu Kang a while ago...you have to beat Konquest mode first, then go to G-8 in Edenia and it'll be behind the tent but near the rock wall of the mountain.

MK Deception is a great game but I find the Konquest mode to be rather boring at times. The sooner I finish it the better it'll be for me.

Above all I've enjoyed unlocking certain characters and arenas etc. I just need to unlock Liu Kang, Raiden and Shujinko now.

In Kombat mode I made it more realistic by making the fights 1 round with no time limit. I think I'll set the Kombat difficulty to harder to make it a worthwhile challenge next.
