Yeah, this is kind of an omnious warning.

Hopefully our security measures will hold up.

I hope that air marshalls catch the bastards in the act.

DON'T FLY, anyone I care about...

the thing is though, not every Country has Air Marshells on flights! I hope the bast*rds are caught before they inflict terror!!

I do too. But do you think that if, hypothetically, they tried to do the same thing, i.e. hijack a plane with lame weapons, that people on the flight wouldn't stop them. I'm mean, seriously, on 9/11 no one knew what was going to happen on those planes, except the terrorists. So people mighta thought they were going to get out alive. But now we know what would happen so don't you think people would risk injury/death to stop these a-holes?

Yeah I know I would get my ass of that seat and try and stop them

As far as I know, pilot booths are sealed and bulletproof, so hijackers can not enter... Thats the most important point. And as they are not able to take the controll, they will be beaten to death by the passengers.

Just put me on some planes. I don't think it would be a smart idea for them to try to **** with me. I'd love for one of them *******s to start **** with me on there, I'd rip em' up and spit em' out. Tear them a new ******* and the whole deal.....ARGGGH........

I don't know anything about how the cockpits are. I imagine not all cockpits of planes are completely sealed and bulletproof less than 3 years removed from the tragedy. I could be wrong though. Obviously they're trying to figure out a way to get in though.

I mean why become a one trick pony, why focus so much on the airlines when you attack the U.S., it did incredible damage last time yes but the chances of it doing so again are pretty slim really. Assuming terrorists did manage to get control of a plane it'd be shot down before letting it crash into anything again.

It's a pessimistic view maybe but personally I'd be looking elsewhere for the actual attack.

Unfortunately, whether they're able to hit a target or not, terrorists will probably be happy with just simply getting ahold of a plane and having it shot down. It's basically the same thing as carrying a bomb on board. What's really sad is it appears it's unlikely that a hijacking in US air space that will result in people getting off the airplane alive either way.

But I mean, the US is going to worry about airliners more than anything else just based off what happened a few years ago.

But I can see where you're coming from. As much as I wish it won't happen, I woudn't be surprised if a different attack were to happen.

Some of the current evidence I've read is back to the suitcase nuke issue. There are investigative reports that Bin Laden did in fact buy up to a dozen from the black market in the Russia and the surrounding satellite states.

Regarding planes, and passengers. Their technique next time, if there is a next time, will be to rush the cockpit from first class when the pilots exit to go to the bathroom. I had an eye-opening time recently with a TSA trainer, where we discussed much of this...

Hehe, that would be kinda funny. 3 terrorist armed with toothbrush and razor blades vs. 300 pissed off sivilians :)

I would have kicked their asses ;)

I heard this years before 9/11. I think he would have used them by now if he had them.

Yeah I don't know. Nukes are PREEETTTTY hard to come by...

And I thought about the same thing Ty. We see it coming. If we saw some mid-eastern guys acting funny elsewhere, we'd pay alot less attention to it than on a plane.

I always thought they were hard to come by too. But one of my best-friend's brother-in-law is high up in the nuclear part of our Gov. or whatever it is. He pretty much travels all over the world during the year and he probably comes to the US I think once every two years. He basically knows certain codes, among other gov. secrets and of course isn't supposed to tell. But he's kinda hinted around at some stuff before.

That's why sometimes in political disscussions I get annoyed. Because a lot of people don't even realize how many gov. issues that the general public doesn't have a clue about.
