Thinking about picking this up next....is it worth getting?? I've heard a lot of good things but I just wanted to check.

Its awsome. A very good game if you like FPS.

But be aware, you need a good computer to run it!

It is a good game. Pretty interesting and beautiful visuals (hated the single player ending thoug).

You don't need a really great computer to run it, but you'd have to lower it's visuals to run it smooth, which will be your best bet to playing it and actually having fun, because the gameplay itself is pretty good. The visuals are an added bonus if you can support them.

Just a little thing that makes this game looks so good. It has got the best looking water i have ever seen in a game. It may sound like a little thing, but on a tropical island that is a major thing :)

It looks so good i just want to jump right in it and swim for hours, hehe.

Apparantly it will have a somewhat longer single player campaign (which was long on the PC version anyway). So a couple of new maps and locations.

Xbox live and split screen, and the oppertunity to make your own maps farely easy instead of a very complicated map maker on the PC version.

Other then that, its the same game (different name though - Far Cry : Instincts)

i cant get enough of it i have nearly finished it. graphics r realy good and gameplay even better.

wow...thought this thread was gone....sadly i didnt pick it up...id like to, but with some of the new games coming up, I think id rather reserve the cash for them.

yeah....im going to hold out on this one....maybe when it drops in price...but glad to hear its awesome.

I updated my graphis drivers and the game stopped working.....stupid computer

When you update graphics driver you should use a special uninstall program for graphics drivers to remove the old ones. If you dont, you can run into problems. Just like you did now :)
