no it is not monthly payments like Xbox and on some games without a headset it really isnt as fun but there are plenty tthat do not use headsets.i reccomend THUG or Splinter cell: pt get a headset tho its useful

it still sort of works i just cant hear people well in game

I can't stand PS2 online, or PS2 in general. Xbox Live and the whole X-box console blows all its competitors away. Rainbow Six 3 is the game to get for online play, that is until Halo 2 anyways.

I think AOL actually charges for using their connection for online play. Or at least they used to. You would be better served using a DSL or cable connection.
