Well I've only seen (and own) one Wes Anderson film and that is The Royal Tenenbaums (I saw the first 7 minutes of Rushmore but the DVD was wrecked). I love his over the top style and the writing is great just from TRT alone, I still have to check his others, but I can't wait for The Life Aquatic....it sounds interesting and hey Cate Blanchet is in it!

Wes Anderson is one of my favorite writer/directors working today. I'm a big fan of all of the films he's done so far, especially Rushmore and Bottle Rocket.

royal tenenbaums sucked IMO, and while i have high hopes for life aquatic it isnt getting very good reviews.
The Royal Tenenbaums is one of my favorite films so far this decade. I'm looking forward to The Life Aquatic. It's got a great cast...

The Royal Tenenbaums was good. Rushmore was okay. I'd like to see Rushmore a second time, though.

Most reviews I read were super-positive...oh well. I'm looking forward to it anyway.
Wes rocks...The Royal Tenenbaums is simply one of the best films ever made. Top 100 easily enough.

I think Wes Anderson's a genius. And, I'm only basing this off the film Rushmore, because it's the only film of his I've seen. I just saw Rushmore for the first time a few months ago, and absolutely loved it. It's one of my favorite movies now. I'm also looking forward to seeing Wes Anderson's other films Bottle Rocket, and The Royal Tenenbaums. Not to mention, his upcoming film The Life Aquatic. Which is my second most anticipated film for the rest of the year (#1 is I Heart Huckabees).
As far as my favorite characters go, since I've only seen Rushmore, I'll definitely have to go with Herman Blume and Max Fischer.

The Royal Tenenbaums is one of my favorite movies, period. Actually, all three of his movies hold that dubious distinction.
My favorite Wes Anderson character is Max Fischer.
