42 million???????????:confused : Dear Lord not a ****ing chance!!!!
I know kids 4 years old that think this looks dumb , those numbers are too flippin' high.Opening at 42 Million would land it well past 115 and we know this will not make 42 million in 3 days.Even if Sharon Stone was showing her **** and Halle Was Showing her **** This still wouldn't gross 42 million dollars opening weekend.
1) 17 million opening
after bad word of mouth 2nd weekend will bring 8-10 then it's off to flop land.Halle Berry is not a star this will prove it.
2) # 3
3) 50-60 maybe 70 overall
If I'm wrong o well. This film won't be getting my money.
I will sneak into it though.I need a good laugh every now and then.

Catwoman has had ALOT more exposure than the Bourne Supremacy. And I also think people are curious to see Catwoman because of all the buzz surrounding it. :)

Your're saying 25million opening and finishing up with 45 ???
So what you;re saying is that it will make 25 million in 3 days , ok that's reasonable but then you think it will only make ONLY 20 more in ABOUT 4-6 weeks in it's whole run.
Wow you are expecting a drop off.lol.
If something opens at 25 million it's well on it's way to at least 60 -70 million , AT LEAST FOR THE AVERAGE DECENT PIC which this isn't.

Um...Bourne is a sequel therefore giving it presold exposure Plus Matty is fantastic.
The first Bourne was a great movie.I was impressed.

I'm not saying it doesn't have any exposure, but Catwoman definitely has more exposure. As another user indicated, Catwoman is everywhere. Bourne will probably debut with solid numbers, like the first movie, and have small drop-offs week by week.

trust me on my prediction. i think this will be a total drop off! once the people have seen it, they'll have enough and this movie will disapear in its second week.

Of cource it matters when you ask how much i think it will make. No matter how much it will flop, it will still make more money worldwide, then only the US. Even you should be able to see that? :p ;)

To those of who who don't think it'll get 42 mil in its opening weekend.......
Even "Batman & Robin" pulled down 40+ mil in its opening weekend, and over 100 million in the U.S. And that is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I'm sure you'd agree.
And yes, by "total gross", i mean total U.S. gross

i think the first week they'll get a decent amount (im not good at predicting mils so lets just drop that) and then it'll just sink to the ground with word of mouth..but i'd rather see it start to sink as so as it's released..hehe

Why do you people think everything Halle Berry is in will be a huge Success? Is it because she looks hot in Leather? Does anybody even remember what Gothica did? I swear Halle is so cocky I hope this movie bombs to teach her a lesson

Well, the Weekend Warrior predicts 15-17 million, but they've been wrong about movies before (i.e. "The Stepford Wives"), so maybe "Catwoman" still has a chance.
YouWereReborn
07-21-2004, 12:26 PM
Yes, Gothika was Rated R

I hate to admit this, but Catwoman will beat The Bourne Supremacy and take the #1 spot with 32 million. You ask why?
1.Of all the people who say they hate it and it looks like crap, about 6 out of those ten people are still going to go see it.
2.The Bourne Supremacy had crappy advertisement, alot of people don't even know its coming out friday.
3.OUTSIDERS!!!!!! The internet users are only 5% of the population meaning that the other 75% want to see this s***. They love the trailers..

Catwoman:
Production Budget: $100 million
Est. Marketing Costs: $35 million
weekend gross $17.1 million :D :D :D
you think this movie will be able to get its $135 million back? i don't think so.
btw, Spider-Man 2 already passed Harry Potter (POA) and is now ranked 14 in the US grosses with $328 million in only 24 days!
should beat Lion King and Forrest Gump in the next few days and climb to the 12th spot.
