Does anyone think they should do this, my friend hates the second one but I'm watching it right nowon VOD and it's not that bad. But still, he said: "They need a MIB3 to redeem themselves." I honestly don't know, they probably made enough money to complete a trilogy, but it might end being really goofy. Does anyone have any thoughts?

The second movie was impossibly bad, of course they shouldn't make a 3rd.

Hey no thanks. How many sci-fi movies has Will done already? Just let it go.

If they ever did do a MIB:III then K should die so that there is no way of him coming back.
By the way in MIB you see K with That Girl, the one he loved, in the papers. So what must she be thinking when K doesn't come home from his job at the post office?

Hey! Buddy!
Sorry, just wanted to say that.
Anyway, I first thought MiB II was good, but since then I have changed my opinion, it only has a few good ideas. If there's a killer script for MiB III, then go for it, but stop there, and hire a new director, let Sonnenfeld just produce. He hasn't been making good movies lately.

I didn't like Mib 2. It wasn't all that funny and the I think they thought giving the talking dog a larger role would be automatically funny... but it wasn't. I think the only thing I found funny about the whole thing was the 'ballchinian'.. o how I laughed..
I wouldn't be totally averse to Mib 3 though. Perhaps they could make it what Mib 2 should have been.

That is why Will says, "thats why she left you K", then he punches will, refering to him looking into the stars, when he awoke from the coma she left him because he wasnt the same man
MIB 1 and 2 are sweet. I love both movies and I love will smith and I love i,robot and I love weed and beer and Im gonna see i,robot tonight and get high before it and drink beer after it and Im gonna love it...anyone with me?!?!

I liked the idea that for MIII they would take it away from Earth, I know the point of them is to protect earth but I think it would be interesting to see them on another planet.

I think if they do MIB III they need to make the story a lot better. Also don't show all the freakin funny parts in the trailer.
I liked most of MIB II. I wouldn't mind MIB3 if they got it right.

It was in MIIB I noticed that MIB had a large loop hole. Let's take a look at the scene.
Z: Let’s put it on.
J: Put what on?
Z/K?: The last suit you'll ever wear.
Yet K got out of the MIB and for all we know went to a wedding and wore a suit...

I never got into the MIB series. I saw the first one and I had no desire to see the sequal.

the second MiB was poor. If a third was to be made they'd have to:
1) Create a bad guy who as good as the first one. Tara Lynn Boyle was a dreadful bad guy in the second one while the first one had a very funny and scary villan.
2) Dont give off some half-assed CGI. Some of the CGI in MiB 2 was pretty dire and since the movie is forced to contain a lot of CGI they gotta make it as good as possible.
Dont make another MiB until they have a script as close as possible to the wit of the first one

I didn't like MIB II at all. Except to whoever mentioned the "Ballchinian", that was quite funny! Anyhow, I say NO to part 3.

MIB was a great movie. MIIB was a misguided movie. In order to successfully pull off a MIIIB they are gonna have to do the following:
1. Make the movie longer than 1hr and 30min.
2. Have a good villain.
3. Write a better screenplay. There was a comic and cartoon series. You could rip them off.
4. Less Frank
5. Actually include the twins this time.
6. More worms, damn it!
7. More aliens disguised as celebrities.
8. A better soundtrack.
9. More Tommy Lee Jones listening to Elvis.
10. Bring back Linda Florentino's fine ass! :)
The love story was flawed in MIIB because it between Will Smith and some character we don't give a sh-t about. If Florentino was there it would have been better.
Things I liked about MIB II:
*Those little guys who lived in the locker
*Patrick Warburton (The Tick! Puddy!)
*That guy who works at the video store!
*The Peter Graves video... complete with Ed Wood special effects!
*The Fight scene between Will and that guy who floats around.
*Tony Shaloub! Rip Torn! Worms!
Things I didn't like:
*Plot
*Lara Flynn Boyle's lame villain
*Rosario Dawson's lame romatic intrest
*Frank the Pug overdose
The pros outweigh the cons... I enjoyed it.

i love the first one, the second one really did suck (the curse of sequels everyone) and it would be a bad idea in my opinion of them making a third one..

MIB was good because it was a strong Sci Fi movie that had comedic elements. MIIB was a crappy comedy with Sci Fi elements

Wow, Garnet. You're angrier than I am. I was just joking. There's no need to cuss at me.
I'm still at a lost as to why they went back to the plain suits after the ending of the first movie.
But I dunno if they should make an MIB 3. I don't really see Will Smith doing another one unless it means a big payday.

Yeah I did read somewhere that Will Smith either said hes not returning or the plans for a 3rd one are no more. I forgot which one it was though.

MIIB is one of the TOP 10 Grossing films of 2002. I'm not sure that's a flop.

They shouldn't do a MIIIB, because Barry Sonnenfeld should get back into cinematography.
Anybody seen Misery or Raising Arizona? The cinematography in those movies will feed you for months.

...for a while, there were three possible story possibilities that Sonnenfeld was supposedly playing with for the third movie that somehow got on the Internet but didn't get very far...here is what I heard, at least.
#1
This possibility is probably my favorite, for reasons I don't even understand (maybe it's just the irony in it): the MIB has been dealing with a slew of disasters all over the planet, costing the lives of aliens and agents alike. According to some evidence, AN ACTUAL AGENT might in fact be responsible - or, at least, an alien posing as one. This results in superstition and paranoia as the MIB struggle to discover the culprit, in disbelief that it might be one of their own, even affecting the partnership of Jay and Kay, who, for one reason or another, begin to distrust one another, and each other's motives. It was, however, supposed to actually EMPHASIZE the importance of relationships, on several levels, other than the obvious Jay-Kay dynamic: it was supposed to address how both Jay and Kay's relationships with women had ultimately failed, and how they were coping with that; and then there was the rumor WITHIN a rumor that the real culprit behind the crimes was KAY'S MENTOR (wasn't his name - A, or something like that?)...in this way, Sonnenfeld wanted to close out the series, I suppose, because that's really what MIB has been about since the beginning, relationships...but anywho...
#2
The second possibility was actually more of a sequel to MIB II than it was the first film, being that it had Jay and Kay ignoring MIB protocol and actually traveling to Zartha to get Jay's girl back. Cheesy, I know, but that was still a big possibility.
#3
This one was a little...I don't know how to put it, really. This had the first two storylines of the films actually INTERTWINING, bringing the Zarthans and the Bugs into conflict. That way, I suppose, Sonnenfeld felt that he could sum up the series by having all the familiar faces return, giving the illusion of connectivity.
#2 and #3 are pretty much in the same boat - UNDERWRITTEN and somewhat PATHETIC. #1 is our best bet, I think, if it's a real possibility at all. I, for one, would like to see it on the big screen, but still would take it with a grain of salt.

Really, I hope they take the characters and put them into a new situation. The MIB world is filled with endless story possibilities. I would be a little disappointed if they used old story lines. They definately need to get away from "finding things that will eventually destroy the world blah blah..."
I hope they come up with something new though if I had to pick I'd say Number 1 is the best story listed. (Wasn't Kay's mentor D?)
I still say they should do a spin off movie featuring the worms
"Which one of yall's neeble?"
"Yo Mama!"
That's a classic in the making

Finally, a role for Will Smith where he is rough around the edges and saves the world. It's about time.
