The Village - How excited are you?

The most anticipated film of July is just days away! I'm so excited, yet scared at the same time. I know I will get the chills in theater. I have never seen any of his movies on theater, only on DVD/TV and even those scared me. So my question is how excited are you??

I have my doubts but just because it's a Shymalan film I'm willing to give it a chance. I liked both Signs and Unbreakable.

This movie gonna be awesome!! I never saw Unbreakable, but Signs was okay (no scares) and I LOVED Sixth Sense!! I hope the movie comes out alright. The fact that they've been keeping this such a big secret both worries me and makes me extremely happy. Hopefully he wont have the monsters be something dumb or have a dumb weakness (the water on the aliens thing was stupid). I just hope it's scary and suspenseful. If it doesn't work out though, I highly recommend him going back to doing movies like Sixth Sense.

this movie looks decent and they show very little in the previews which can be a good thing. dont think im gonna see it in theaters tho cus ive never liked a Shymalan film. think ill wait till video. next theater stop for me is in my sig.

not excited at all, but i will see it. M. Night, is one of my favorite directors, as he's very creative and knows what works, and watching his films is something of an event, for me, but I like to keep a low exciteness level because, well, to make sure I don't get too dissapointed, but so far he's delivered on all of his movies.

ok well his problem with the movie, the ending. Says its a good ending will leave you to gasp, lol least thats what most of the people in the theater did, but he said thats not the ending he wanted and he thinks alot of other people will feel the same way he does. Overall says its a great movie, that will most likely be mixed opinion wise because of the ending,

Said it was scarier then Signs, I didnt really go into the detail of what freaked him out and such, said the music really gives it that extra creepy factor.

Okay people. Saw the screening of the movie. Got alot to say. Anyhow the movie was pretty cool. Didn't live up to my expectation but swtill an altogether good film. M Night does make a cameo in this one too. Here's the not so great ending: Turns out the elders in the village are the "creatures" in the woods. They dress up like the creatures to keep people in the village, to keep a constant peace in their little village. Want more? At the end, we find out it's actually the present day, and the village is in the middle of a forest conservation place thingy that is guarded, so it's not like anyone could go in and find them. The place payed a bunch of money so that planes wouldn't fly over there either. Want more details? The elders of the village all have one thing in common: they all lost someone they loved. To get away from all the heartache and bad stuff, they set up this little village and started up the story of the creatures in the woods.

Because if it is....you've got to be freaking kidding me. M Night will have succeeded at one thing: marketing. As usual, all the hype, none of the payoff -- as opposed to his first good film, Sixth Sense -- not much hype, tons of payoff.

It is not the same ending that AICN said. that was a made up rumor. The only people who know the ending are the people who have seen early screenings. Most of them have kept quiet.

Yeah, I didn't think AICN had the same ending as the one I saw. I think alot of people will be dissapointed. I know I was. Can't wait to see this "new ending" though. Might like that better.
