Drunken Master. A classic. Jackie Chan was more pimp when he was doing real kung fu.
I would add Master of the Flying Guillotine and a very obscure Jimmy Wang Yu film called The Screaming Tiger.

Hey, I just finished watching seven samurai for the first time last night. It was so f.ucking cool! Kurosawa kicks ass!
He's a decendant of the Samurai himself so what would you expect!

I agree with Hero all the way. Very well made film, I was fortunate enough to finally get a hold of my own copy a few weeks ago.

Even though it is a comedy, Kung Pow: Enter The Fist is really good.

Versus sucked. It had no plot, just some gang members killing eachother in the forest for no reason. I dont really know much about Kung Fu films, but if you are looking for tru wuxia films(swordplay) I would recommend the following:
CTHD
The international award winner. Everyone has seen this but in my opinion it's the best wuxia film ever made. Thank you Ang Lee!
Hero
The most recent wuxia film and the most popular, Hero takes the 2nd spot as the most beatifully wuxia film ever. Ching Siu Tung is truly a God when it comes to wire fu action.
Duel to the Death
Ching Siu Tung's debut into the world of swordplay came with this nice chinese versus japanese flick featuring cool flying sequences and ninja action.
Tai Chi Master
One of Yuen Woo Ping's best choreagraphed film! If you liked the fighting in Matrix and Kill Bill you're gonna love it in this cool Jet Li film
Fist of Legend
This movie is praised as one of Jet Li's best! If you're not much into Wire Fu action, then this is what you seek.
Fong Sai Yuk films
If you're looking for comedy and action I recommend these.
These are just some of the best swordplay films ever made. The newest wuxia film released was House of FLying Dragons. Supposedly its better than Hero so it may take the number 1 spot. :D
Optimus Magnus

While not strictly Kung Fu, The Killing Machine with Sonny Chiba is pretty good, got an okay plot to go with the martial arts action too.
Can Kill Bill be counted?

Hero came out in Asia a long time ago and is now on DVD. I got my import copy from Ebay. It's just now being introduced to US audiences. I don't know why it took so long though.

Versus was made just to show gore and swordplay. who cares about the silly plot.
It's more of like a little comedy/horror/action movie.
Guy - "Why do you want the girl?"
Other Guy - "Because i'm a feminist"

Even sword fights and gore were cheesy. I've seen better ameteur horror movies. I know the director was going for certain style but I think he failed miserably. The movie is way too long and drags out.
