special screenings? How?

Hey guys I allway read about how people get to see special screening of movies before they come out like the one they had for Aliens vs Predetor in Long Beach. How the hell do I get info or tickets to see the movie before its release date?:confused:

Some theaters have screenings, nadvertised, you have to be at the right place at the right time to hear about them. I got to see a sneak preview screening of Freaky Friday, a week before it came out. Kinda boring, I know, but I had never been to a screening, so I went.

Now MOVIE PREMIERES! I would like to know how you are invited to those!

My local theater holds special screening every so often for movies and most the people that know about them are theater employees or specific press members. My friend is an assistant manager at the theater adn gets tickets for the special screenings and if he is working that night will give the tickets to myself or one of our other friends. The special screenings also depend on the Movie Studios.

I've been to a few screenings. I saw Spider-Man 2 early and I also saw Episode 2 2 days early. I hope to do the same for Episode 3.

A friend of my family's wife's work handed out special screenings to Family Man but she couldnt go so she gave the tickets to us.

I dont know how her company was involved with the movie...but since then its the only sneak preview i've seen.

Companies give out tickets most of the times. If you work for a certain company, they give their employees tickets to special screenings. The tickets basicly allow you to get in, but it's a first come first serve kinda deal.

Companies that get special ticket screenings are basicly for the fact they want an audiance opinion ahead of time and need random people to attend, or the company itself is or was involved with funding or shares with the movie studio that made it.

My sister saw a screening of some movie with Maggie Gyllenhaal. Not sure which one it is, but it's not out yet.
