www.thedigitalbits.com reports...

We've got some new street dates (and tentative release months) to give you today, for major studio titles through the end of 2004 (including some titles now in theaters). I want to let you know that most of these dates have yet to be announced, so consider them unofficial until we tell you that a studio has confirmed them. This would definitely normally go in The Rumor Mill, but for ease of posting they're in the daily column today. Here goes...

September - Mean Girls (9/21), Jersey Girl (9/7), Saved (TBA), Super Size Me (TBA)

October - The Day After Tomorrow (10/27), Troy (10/12), Van Helsing (TBA), Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (TBA), Garfield: The Movie (10/19), The Stepford Wives (TBA), The Terminal (TBA), Raising Helen (TBA), Fahrenheit 9/11 (TBA), The Notebook (10/19), Around the World in 80 Days (TBA), Two Brothers (TBA)

November - Shrek 2 (11/5), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (TBA), White Chicks (TBA)

December - The Chronicles of Riddick (TBA)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With October also possibly carrying Van Helsing, it seems like it's going to be an expensive month -- especially right after September's Star Wars...

Oh my God, that many in October? Oh man, I'm royally screwed then. Well, have to put off buying the Sims 2 in September then. Because just from that list above, I'll be buying:

- Van Helsing
- Day After Tomorrow
- Troy
- Dodgeball
- The Terminal

Not to mention Spiderman 2 and the Star Wars OT boxset.

Maybe he's one of those guys that just buys every dvd that got a wide release in the theater, no matter how bad it was. I know people like that.

What I buy will be dictated by the money I have at the time, the features on each DVD release and whether or not I have a job.

As far as new films go, I'm only interested in Harry Potter and whatever edition of Spider-Man 2 is the best.
