New Highlander Series

I have read that the new Highlander Series will go into prooduction if The Sci Fi Channel is interested in picking it up. I am trying to confirm but, haven't got a response from SciFi yet (big surprise). It does make sense since they have stepped up release of the DVD box sets and they are releasing Counterfeit, Unholy Alliance and Finale as individual DVDs next tuesday. Has anyone else heard anything or is this just wishful hope on the rumorverse?

Sounds like wishful thinking. Last Highlander piece of news I heard was something about a fifth movie, Highlander: The Source, but all news concering it has since disspitated.
