I want to know your opinion on this... I'm thinking about renting it but I'm not sure if I'll like it.

Would someone also please tell me if Sergio Leone had anything to do with this?

Thanks.

When i saw this final part to the trilogy i was soooooo excited and i thought it was absoutely great. I expected more from banderas but johnny depp was superb... *hats off to him* he truly is an amazin actor.

Sergio had nothing to do with it I believe, exept for maybe inspiring the title.

Leone was dead before Robert Rodriguez started maked making movies.

OUTIM is definately a good one, though.

Aside from the fact that Sergio Leone has been dead for the past 15 years the movie just has the title has a tribute. I didn't really like this movie it was WAY TO SHORT!!!!! Rodriguez compressed a three hour movie in 1hr and 30 min.

If you want to see a great movie then watch DESPERADO.

I know he's dead but Leone could have written the screenplay before he died or something (for all I knew). Or it could have been related to one of his other films.

Anyway I guess I'll rent it. But it all depends: Do I need (or will it help) to see Desperado before I see this?

Well you wont listen to me anyway....but....
NO NO NO NO NO NO
I thought he only cool thing in the movie was Depp.
Everything else was bull.....it was just a completely pointless piece of JUNK!!! Just my opinion....

After all the hype I read on this board, I was seriously disappointed.

You don't need to see the others to enjoy it, but they're not bad movies in themselves.

I liked it because I like Rodriguez's style and the story isn't half bad either.

If you've never seen "Desperado", rent that first or at least see it first if you decide to rent both of them.

"Once Upon a Time in Mexico" is good, but it got weighed down with Depp's character and Banderas's character seemed to get lost.

See "Desperado" first. It completely kicks a**.

Desperado is AWESOME! If you haven't seen it then rent that one instead. Don't waste your money on Mexico, just wait till it comes out on HBO.

I was really disapointed when I seen "Once Upon a Time..." because I loved Desperado so much.

I found that it had no story, the action wasnt all that thrilling, and really the only great thing about this movie is indeed Depp.

I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

Depp's CIA (Clevege Inspection Agency) Agent was what made this movie worth watching. Other than that, the violence was sooooooooo over the top to almost be funny. Almost.

Depp and the visual style were the only things worth watching.

Enrique Iglesias should stick to latin pop!

I think Desperado and Mexico are about the same...

except in Desperado you see a lot more Selma...

Yea but Desperado had a much better plot. Well. It was common. But it had one...unlike Mexico.

I was surprised how good it turned out. Banderas is not good in the film really. Theres like 3 seperate main characters or so, which I found to be refreshing, and the action is cheesy and great. Depp steals the show though, hes on such a roll right now.
