Why do you like Kill Bill

When I got Kill Bill I was excited. It was a QT movie, and it had to be great.
When the movie started I wasn't sure if it was sopposed to be a commedy or an action movie. It was boring. I don't mind the violence or the language, but it was just a slow, action packed movie.
I almost fell asleep half way through the movie.
The action was very boring.

Why do people like this movie so much.
Did I miss something, or do you like it only for the action? It can't possibly be for the plot.

Yes it is for the plot. I love the way it builds up and the anime part in the middle was genius. The plot also has much more depth in the second one. Vol. 1 might not be as much for the plot as much as the style. I thought it was great and it reminded me of one of my favorite animes, Rouroni Kenshin. Oh and we have like 10 threads like this already. ;)

I barely remember the plot, because I found it very boring. It also moves very slow. I mean, I find it hard to belive somebody would say this movie is good.
Imagine my shock when I heard people say that it's great.

I love movies too, but I don't think that a bunch of hommages wraped in to an action movie is a good idea.

But that's all just my opinion:)

I didn't think it was all that good, it was entertaining at best. I don't know why people think this movie is one of the greatest movies ever, and it seems to me like people make up a lot of the stuff that they think is great about it, like "did you see how Uma woke up from that bed, I mean it was like symbolic to Jesus, Quentin is sooo cool" or some stupid stuff like that. I thought they were entertaining, that's about it.

I saw it as a good, better then average film.

But to me, the anime hurt the film, very much. It took me away from the film (too drastic change of style)

Its got action and adventure and good characters. it has the famous QT flare ( blood, guts, and non linear plotline). Its got good acting and good editing. everything flows even though its not in order. Its the same reason why everyone liked resovoir dogs or pulp fiction really.

The Kill Bill movies aren't the best Tarantino movies, but I can honestly say that they're excellent.

Kill Bill is just one of those movies where either everything clicks with you or it doesn't.

What the hell? I've never heard that... And it's rather stupid.

There are some ironies and poetic justices in KB...most of them in V.2 but no historic or religious parallels.

I don't see how you could find it slow...the movie is only a little over 90 minutes, and approximately 1/5 of the running time is devoted to a single fight scene.
