Just thought i'd tell you how ****ing frustrating it is waiting for The Last Samurai to come out. 14 more goddamn days. Ya don't know how many times i've kicked myself for not getting round to see it a second time at the cinema.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Have you watched any of the extras yet? I thought they were pretty good, but it would've been nice to have someone apart from Cruise on most of them

But still a really good DVD IMO

Only 4 more days until I can get it on DVD. It was my favorite film of last year and I can't wait to watch it again.

Ok, finally got the dvd on Tuesday and have manged to watch the film at least 6 times all the way through already, plus the documenataries and other little extras.

Words fail to describe how epic and beautiful this film is.

Did any of you really like the duel in the rain, between the Nathan and Ujio characters?

Now i'm just waiing for Return of the King at the end of the month.

yeh that was cool - i pretty much loved any scene with a sword in it.

What did you's make of the deleted scenes - they were ok, right to be taken out.

Does anyone know what special features this comes with? and to those who have got it: are they good?

I haven't actually got around to the special features just yet but it looks like there's a few goodies on there that are really worth a look

You're right, it seemed right that they were both taken out, although more so for the beheading scene. The giggle they had in the second scene, where they're both discussing the moralities of war, made me cringe.

its nice to see a film with only 2 deleted scenes, meaning the director was well aware of what they trying to achieve and i find i watch them and you quickly realise why they were deleted in the first place.... cos they sucked
