Universal have kindly sent over the official artwork for the recent Dawn of the Dead remake which stars Ving Rhames alongside Sarah Polley, Jake Weber and Mekhi Phiffer. The disc has yet to be officially announced I'm afraid, so details are still very sketchy at present. However, we're assured that the film will be released in both rated and unrated forms this coming July. We'll bring you the full rundown on disc specs etc as soon as we them. For now though, here's our first look at the rated package artwork:

lol, I was looking for an older thread about this and found this one. Guess someone beat me to the punch.
Well, the other thread talks about how the DVD will be an unrated cut with 10 more minutes of character stuff and 10 more minutes of gore, so that's one feature...

So far the DVD Release Date for Dawn Of The Dead (2004) is listed as July 27, 2004 but alot of retailers have not put any pre-order options and its now almost June and no word as to the DVD's special features, we should have heard something by now, Davisdvd.com has now listed it DVD as TBA, the only thing I can predict is that since the movie was released March 19, 2004 and A DVD of a movie released in theaters almost all ways comes out 4-6 months after its theatrical release, then Dawn of the Dead MIGHT come out between July and September, I would really like to know just what is happening, has Universal run in to problems, is it being pushed back, If any one has any useful information, please let me know.

I'm thinking the exploding heads is the Alternate ending.

I wonder how much 9 minutes can really add to a film of this nature...

Enough character development to make the characters seem less two dimensional.

It was actually supposed to be 20 minutes added: 10 minutes of character and 10 minutes of gore.
Andrey83
06-15-2004, 11:15 AM
why did they not go with that?
Oh, wait. I got it: Now they can release another version even later, and make even more money.....
