Have any of you seen this show? I had never heard of it but appearantly it is on its second season and runs in my area on NBC Monday after Fear Factor and Las Vegas. The consept is that a chef named Rocco won a chance to open his own resturant in NYC. This season we see that Rocco's Resturant is popular but is not generating revenue and the finacial backer is starting to strong-arm to turn the resturant around. This show idea is interesting but watching it is down right painful. I saw the pilot last week and second episode last night and I can tell you that this show is like 60 minutes of finger nails on a chalk board. Any thoughts?

Downfall is they don't repeat the episode wish they did. they'd get better ratings if they did. This is by far the best show of the summer lineup.

It's a great show. Rocco Made a commitment to his restaurant and seems to doing the other thing and deciding that Posing all the time and putting his name out their and making him famous is the way more important than the restaurant. They showed previews of Jeffery like being the bad-guy here but he's the only guy their that's got common-sense besides the workers and trying to make it better because Rocco doesn't even want to deal with it. The backer has a right to be their and Rocco is just a liar when he doesn't know the financial statues and He needs to know what the waiters and waitresses make while working their. As for Drew, Rocco deserved to be called a dushbag.

I could not disagree more. Yes I do agree the Rocco is very flakey and should put more effort into both the resturant and the need to stop the losses to turn a profit. Rocco did make himself look like a fool during the whole fincial statement talk. But Drew was a intern for heaven sakes, that butt munch rolled into the resturant like he was the big man on campus. An intern is suppost take the lead of his boss and sit back and learn. Even in the first episode when the corporate group was having a dinner at the resturant descusing what was to be done, this punk kid with no expirence was popping off at the mouth like he had an equal opinion in this matter. Then on the second episode, this idiot was acting like he was the Judge, Trial and Jury as to how to turn things around.

Drew needed one of those JAFO ballcaps from the movie Bluethunder, b/c that is all he was "Just Another Fuuking Observer" and that could have done him well as a silent Spy but no... this jack hole would not shut up. Like I said he thought that he was the men, now he is just a loser who got the ax twice on the same episode. Nice internship, who would want to hire this jerk now. Not Me.

I held and internship at the end of college and no matter what would I have ever called the boss or any management a "dushbag" practicilly to his face on the second day, what a tool.

I am glad that punk is gone. The next to go is the corpotate butt kissing chef.

Plus that Drew kid coulda gotten them in big trouble, he was what...20 and he was serving the alcohol? And the same thing with him crashing the glasses into the ice.
What was up with the scenes from next week? It looked like there was a food fight or somethin...

The Resturant...here is the dramatic confessional:

"I spilled some sauce on my shirt today. That means tonight I am gonna have to go home and wash it. I sure hope bleach will get it out. DAMNIT!!! I am such a klutz. I HATE MYSELF!!!"

Thats not a real confessional but I am sure it sounds something like that.

Why he did nothing to drew that any other owner would have done to a person who had not gone through any form of training. Bottom line Drew should not have been answering phones at a place he is not employed. I get the same treatment everytime I start randomly answering phones at stores, resturants and hotels that I am visiting. But never have I called the owner a dushbag as I am being escorted out of the building. :nono:

It is a really good show, but I liked the first one more. I just had more fun watching them trying to open the restaurant on time, and seein all their problems (the cold food, the name change, the many many employees lost).

well someone from the outside might find this show interesting but I've got to tell you for someone that makes there living that way it is purly stupidity.

I sure it must look like Jack-asses of parade. This is one of those guilty pleasure shows for the wife and I get stuck watching it while taping CSI:maimi in the vcr. It's that or I come here on the boards for while she is numbing her mind watching it.
