This may not be the time or place, but I need to know: Is "Hero" on DVD? I only first heard about it when I saw Kill Bill 2 last weekend. They showed the trailer but I thought it was a movie that hadn't been released yet. Let me know.

dude, i saw CTHD and i fell in love with this movie. the fights, the beauty of the colours and the whole cinematography is great. the story as well imo.
and i saw HERO which has also great fights and more colours and better cinematography, a great cast. to me they are equal. i love both and it's worth to buy it on DVD. a must see imo.

I personally like Hero more. great fighting scenes (but some of the wire work is obvious like CTHD), beautiful looking aswell (most scenes are bathed in a certain colour), and cool story.

"In ancient China, before the reign of the first emperor, warring factions throughout the Six Kingdoms plot to assassinate the most powerful ruler, Qin. When a minor official defeats Qin's three principal enemies "Broken Sword", "Flying Snow" and "Sky", he is summoned to the palace to tell Qin the story of his surprising victory."

there are some great fights, but you will have to see them for yourself, also if you are only going to watch it for the fights you shouldnt watch it at all.

Hero is best.

They are both great movies, and some (i've heard them say) might say that hero is rip-off, but its not....

But, the best one is Hero.

There are some great fights in Hero which arent there just "to have a fight" but because of the story.

You should see it, rent it or buy it, and you will be thankful because none of us wanted to spoil you the pleasure of seeing this beautiful movie.

Then I'll say Pulp Fiction, not for being that better movie but because its cool and a must-have... and its cheap.

Take a look at your china town (if you have one in your town), Hero DVDs are very cheap there...

Buy Pulp Fiction first because you will (like most of us) watch it many times if its your thing. Just hire Hero or save up for it, remember it is a foriegn movie so you will have to read subtitles or put up with the dubbing.

anyone know what the english dub is like on hero? is it crap like CTHD.

sorry poeman, i just dont like it that people arnt willing to wait until they see a movie to find out the ending (my gf is like that, "what happens next? does that guy die?").

Yup and i have decied to buy pulp fiction and my next dvd pickup will be the last samurai. ill buy hero if its like 10 dollars or 12 bucks!

i have never heard of any copys with english dubbing. the only way it will happen is if they release a region 1 dvd and even then there probably wont be one.

no dubs only subs, be sure to check everything i.e. region coding if it is ntsc, and what kinds of subtitles there are.
