View Full Version : Session 9! The most terrifying movie I've ever seen.

This movie is horror in the truest since of the word. The very tone of it cultivates fear, and when I say fear, I mean fear. If fear is not knowing, then no wonder this movie is so chilling. There's always a since that something is not seen, that there is something emmense that is being hidden from you. You can't pin point it, but in the back of your mind it's there.
I've never been so shaken after watching a movie. It's hard to discribe. All I know for sure is that everyone should see it. Even if you don't like it (somehow.) after watching it, it desrves to be seen. I can't get my head around why the movie made me feel the way it did, but all I know is that I liked it. It is not your typical scary movie, it will actually scare you. I don't think it will be everyones cup of tea, actually. I didn't even know for sure what it was about going into it, but that makes it all the better. Hell, I don't even get everything that happened in the movie and I love it. SEE IT.
If you want a chilling, horrifying, haunting movie, this is it. This film is Psychological horror at its best.
10/10

From what I remember it is about a crew of guys who clean asbestos out of old buildings for a living. They get hired to clean out this old insane asylum. During the process one of them finds a box of old session tapes and starts listening to a set of them about this crazy little girl who killed her family. Anyway, scary things (not really) start to happen, and thats about all I can say without spoiling the movie for those who actually want to see it.
Check out www.imdb.com if you want a more accurate description and list of cast members.
This movie rocks. Some scenes were just ... brrr! Make me turn all the lights on in my apartment.

This is one of the crowning achievements of horror filmmaking. And I feel sorry for people who cant appreciate this and watch Friday the 13th movies.

Acting is throwaway in almost all horror movies, and this had better acting than most horror films. The place where it seperates itself from the pack is the direction. The pacing, the camera movements, the darkness, and the grainyness were great. It was very cerebral and creeping.

I give it props for having a good tone, decent actors and a creepy set, but the ending was really flat to me. Left me disappointed.
Last time I was notably chilled watching a flick was the opening scene of 28 Days later. Then it cruised along fine until they reached the military base.

Yeah, I bet that force moving twords people was real stupid in the Evil dead films right?
And if you like movies about killer video tapes, I dont think that this is your film.

Yeah but I like all types of horror films. Slasher, suspense, comical horror, you name it and I ususally like. Session 9 just didnt do anything for me. This is one of those movies that people either like or just dont like. Not much in between ground on this one. The story was there but they couldnt pull it off.
