Post your list or say on who you think was wrong or should have played another character in that movie.

Milla Jovovich shoulda just said no to Resident Evil. Michael Keaton would have been an equally maniacal Joker as Jack Nicholson's take. Freddie Prinze jr in any movie....

The cast of Batman and Robin.

The President from The 5th Element. Forgot his name but it was Deebo(sp?) from Friday. Worst casting job ever.

Some others are:
Little kid who played Anakin in Ep1
Older kid who played Anakin in Ep2
Steve Guttenberg in everything
Jean Claude Van Damme in everything
Madonna in everything
Sylvester Stallone in Oscar
Samuel L Jackson in XXX
Vin Diesel in everything
Keanu Reeves in The Matrix
Al Pacino in Simone
Nick Cage in WIndtalkers
Fred Savage in Little Monsters
Jenna Jameson in MMF Action #17
Mel Gibson in What a Girl Wants
Raul Julia in Streetfighter

Thats enough for now.

I think you mean "What Women Want."

And I agree on the Halle as Storm comment, worst casting ever. The same goes for her Catwomen role, I don't even need to see the film to say so.

So who should've played Storm? Gabrielle Union? Vanessa L. Williams, Vivica Fox? My vote is to Jennifer Love in "The Tuxedo".

John Wayne as Ghengis Khan in The Conquerer

You people are crazy...most of these castings aren't that bad (I think some of you are just looking at bad performances...suggestion: try to back your stuff up with a better casting choice).

Matthew Broderick as Inspector Gadget was pretty awful. While they should have made an animated film and not a live-action one at all, better live-action casting is -- think about it -- "Weird Al" Yankovic. Sure, he's not the greatest actor but he looks like the cartoon Gadget and he could have been pretty funny in the role.

Yeah...Colin Farrell is Irish, and sounds like it when he uses his normal voice. Toni Collette can sound American too and Bob Hoskins has a particularly good way of hiding his British voice.

haha, and in a similar mixed-up race casting: Mickey Rooney as Mr Yunioshi, a Japanese man who Rooney played as the most sterotypical and insulting chinese character. "Awww, you naughty girl, Miss Golightly."

Well in Iliad they couldnt recognize Achilles between many women until Odysseus tricked him out, so he obviously wasnt that masculine and buff.

Besides, he was kind of superhero then, invincible and great warrior (means he could kick a lot of ass), no need for him to look like Conan.

yep, and Brad has great acting skills IMO.

Well if it is like in Iliad that would be more of Achilles endless rage mowing down his path through whole Hectors army and hunting Hectors ass down, slaughtering him and whiping the ground around Troy with Hectors body 3 times before finaly returning to his camp...

Cant wait!!

I dont think its gonna be exactly like that. I wish it would though. Its probably gonna be more of a duel between the two

Tony Montana
04-19-2004, 09:26 PM
Will probably be a duel... but I still want to see the original version. There was also a duel... "who can run faster" duel... Hector lost.

here are some bad casting decisions:
Emma Thompson in Sense and Sensibility
JLo in her last three or four movies
Julia Roberts in Mary Shelley (think that was the title)
Timothy Dalton as James Bond
Lenardo DeCap in Gangs of New York

I feel Emma Thompson fit the quiet and collective character fine. In fact, she was great IMHO. The only problem was she didn't scream "HOTTIE!!!" but I'd much rather have her and her skill (and beautiful script) than any other actress.

Everyone will hate me for this but...Liv Tyler in LOTR. I don't know who might have done better, but personally, I think she really can't act very well, so to have cast her was just awful. And that's my favorite movie so it kills me to have to write this! *wink*

Depp was the best thing in OUATIM yes and I agree Afleck as Jack Ryan wasn't a good choice and the kid that played Anakin was really bad.
