Several 80's stars have made comebacks over the past couple of years. Anthony Michael Hall (of Breakfast Club fame) is in the hit USA Network TV show "The Dead Zone" Kiefer Sutherland made a comeback on the second biggest show on FOX 24. Jon Cryer (Duckie in "Pretty in Pink") has come back with the hit CBS show "Two and a Half Men."
Which 80's TV/Movie star is destined to make a major comeback? I for one would like to see Chevy Chase make a comeback. He has not done anything I have liked since Christmas Vacation.

Chevy Chase needs to stay retired and let the younger generation make with the funny.

I agree, Dustin Diamond and Paul Reubens (Pee-Wee), although Paul did appear in Blow (and with a good performance imo)

McCartney still acts on a regular basis. It's just the only stuff he gets these days are low grade forgettable thrillers.

Actually I saw a special on Paul Reubens a couple of weeks ago on television and he talked about making a Peewee's Big Adventure 2! I would like to see the following 80's stars return.
Paul Reubens (Peewee Herman rocked.)
Corey Feldman (That would kick ass!)
Dustin Diamond (Very funny guy but he has a rock band now.)
Chevy Chase (Ultimate comedian, this dude was awsome.)
Alf (Who doesn't like Alf?)
Michael J. Fox (I wish he was doing better, I loved Michael J Fox.)

Andrew McCarthy is on the ABC show Kingdom Hospital. The problem is that nobody is watching that show.
Michael J Fox recently did two episodes of Scrubs. I would not mind seeing Dustin Diamond come back.
BTW, what the heck happened to a majority of the Breakfast Club? Emilio Estevez, Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy have not done anything in years. Judd Nelson made a brief comeback on Suddenly Susan and was in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back but has not done much since.

I think that with the "Brat Pack", that since they all are labeled with that term,it's prevented them from transitioning to more adult roles(Ironic, since according to Backstory on AMC,the term Brat Pack only applied to Nelson,Estevez, and Rob Lowe.;))

Bring on Dustin Diamond. He was a badass.
Oh, and maybe Uncle Joey from "Full House" ;)

Anthony Michael Hall .... The Dead Zone
Emilio Estevez .... Looks like he's largely given up on acting. He didn't do anything between 2000 and 2004. Now he's trying to get a movie made about the assination of Bobby Kennedy, with himself directing (hope it's better than his last attempts). Then maybe he can persaude Disney to make another Mighty Ducks film?
Judd Nelson .... Still acts in no name films
Molly Ringwald .... Same as Judd
Ally Sheedy .... Acts mainly in independent films now, and I think even won several critics awards for outstanding acting. Probably the most respected actor out of all the B-Club bunch.

Yeah, Ralph Macchio. Where's he been?
Dolph Lundgren, though I'm not sure if he left. Everytime I go to the local video store I see a new movie of his on the shelf that I've never heard of.
Steve Guttenberg. Good at the comedy and the drama.

I love all the 80's comebacks. Keifer is the man in 24 and i think the Dead Zone is great, I didn't even recognize anthony michael hall.
How can you guys have all this Saved By The Bell love and not lobby for Mario Lopez. Can't we get AC slater in an action movie?

I agree with Anthony Micheal Hall... who knew that Breakfast Club dork would turn out to be such a cutie ( and a good actor too).
Speaking of the Dead Zone, the new season starts early June, right?

I think it does start in July. Dead Zone is a pretty tight show... but Hall has been a badass for a while... Didn't you see Johnny Be Good? What a classic!

I want Judd Nelson and Pat Morita back, they are too cool

Pat Morita.........
Was he more of a 70's star or an 80's star?
He played Arnold on Happy Days for two seasons (1975-1976, 1982-1983) and was a popular character on that show. After Happy Days, he became Mr. Miyagi.

There was an article about him in the New York Daily News not too long ago. He's doing theater stuff now, and here's the scary part-- HE STILL LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME, even though he's now in his 40s! It's kind of freaky. Oh, and here's another scary part-- They asked him if he'd ever play Daniel LaRusso again, and his reponse-- "Never say never."

the guy who played "Iceman" in Top Gun. He was great in that movie. I thought he be a breakout star

My friends and I would quote that movie all the time!

Wow, you must really be a Top Gun fan. I saw you just used that in one of the trivia threads.

I hope you're joking? That was Val Kilmer and he became a big star mid 90's.

if you're looking for good "iceman" movies in the aughts, check out red planet and The Salton Sea. Not iceman characters, but pretty good flicks.
p.s. if you're looking for something in the future, i'm pretty sure he's going to be in Alexander, the movie about alexander the great.
and, val is dope in the saint and great as elvis in true romance. (90's though)

I love Johnny Be Good, although i think having psychic powers is way more bad ass than being the quarterback for a football team.
He took it back to the breakfast club type character when he played bill gates on the TV movie.
