If hell was to burn over today, do you think God will come save you and take you to heaven?
Me-No, I've done too many things that I shouldn't of :(

It really all depends. I consider myself Agnostic, which could me back if it's the Christian heaven.....but overall I've never really done anything wrong. I'm actually a nice guy, except for the occasional cussing out idiot drivers. I've never cheated, stolen, killed anybody, never broken any type of Traffic laws(except the occasional jaywalking). All I've really done wrong is curse and have some very sexual dreams involving Keira Knightly and Jennifer Garner. But that keeps me human and means I'm a American Teenage boy. It means that I'm a human being.
I think I'll make it.

Other than the fact I don't believe in a god I don't see why not.

Who knows what God is the right one though....for all anyone knows the Hindu's or the Muslims have it right. Even the Jehovah's witnesses could be right.
It's why I go by how good of a person you are instead of what religious Diate(sp?) you follow. Actions should way weight more louder than words.

What do Jehovah's witnesses believe anyway?
Brock Landers

I really have no idea, actually. In Jehovah, probably ;)
I just needed an example.
Alien

I though Jehovah was the Christian god's name but they weren't allowed to say it. I'm probably wrong but someone once told me that.

I thought PURGARTORY was like Limbo. Your not good enough for Heaven, but not bad enough for hell. Not too bad, not too good.
I am not sure if i am going to hell. I believe what i believe and i am sure that god disagrees with me, so i am not sure he wants me there.
But then again, i am sure that Hell doesn't want me. The Devil would see me as a threat.
I have never really thought about it honestly. i think i will get into Heaven, but then again, i thought i would get into my first preference Uni, and that didn't happen, i have been wrong in the past. ( he he he :) )
Purgartory's not that bad of a place...
Anybody read Dante's Inferno?

04-10-2004, 05:19 PM
Well, unless I see these thing's for myself then I don't believe in it. But if I had to choose I would say purgartory ( limbo ), I've sinned so I'm not going to Heaven. But I'm not evil enough to go to hell. Hell is harder to get into than Heaven. Hitler for example, he wouldn't go to hell because in his mind he believed what he was doing was right. It doesn't mean it was, but he believed it to be. Thus, no hell for him.
Tardumb
04-10-2004, 05:24 PM
It's not about sinning guys, everyone sins whether you think you do or not. It's about having faith if we're talking Christianity.
Now I don't know if there's a Heaven or Hell or Purgatory or whatever, I don't know where I'm going either. But if you're believers in Christianity then it's about having the faith, in God. It's not about whether you've sinned or not, everyone has and does sin.
Then again, how do I even know what I'm talking about is true? None of us know any of this for sure. Ever talked to a sinner after they died? Or maybe a priest after they passed away? I don't think any of us have any proof either way.
I am currently typing this from Heaven.

Great topic. :)
I was brought up in a very liberal Protestant church, which may effect my response. I was an active member in my youth, was confirmed, then continued to be in the Youth Group my first two years of high school. Then, one of the leaders of the youth group, 34 yrs old and pregnant with her second child, suddenly died of a congenital heart defect. I was devastated, and for a while, considered myself lost of faith. I'd known her for all my life, and couldn't understand why my God would take such a wonderful person away from her husband, her daughter, and us.
As time went on, I still stayed away from church, but took comfort in the teachings in which I was brought up: Despite your religion, your ethnicity, sex, (or even political leanings ;) ) if you're a morally decent person, you will be rewarded if not in this life, than in the next. It brings me great comfort to think that Kendra is in a better place. If that's a wrong thing to believe, I don't care.
As for myself, I don't cheat or steal. I try not to lie unless I think I could hurt someone severely with the truth. I don't base myself on envy, greed, or violence. Even though I might not give all I can in helping others, I think I do a reasonable amount. Yeah, I think I'd get into heaven. But I don't believe that anyone, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, Eskimo, Communist or Latvian is necessarily excluded.
