no, its not longer than the first two. i remember there was news on CS! that the 3rd movie is going to be the shortest of the three. maybe even less than 2 hours.

If you have a satellite receiver (either C-band or K-band, I believe), you can tune it in to watch it.

(Dish and DirecTV will not pick it up).

Basically, this is part of the satellite system the networks use to transmit shows to local stations...syndicated shows and the like. I can watch several shows on the one at work commercial free. It's pretty nice, actually.

Like how the boggart goes from Snape to an old witch (maybe Seamus' banshee?) to a crow to some gold faced thing.

Looks like someone else playing Lily and James - the two dancing together in front of a fountain. Maybe it's at Hogwarts, so it's younger versions of them.

And Lupin as a werewolf...that's the weirdest werewolf I've ever seen.

I'll be honest...I think I might like Gambon's version of Dumbledore better...seems closer to what I imagine him to be like (granted, it's only a couple lines we've seen).

Good lord I have too much time on my hands when I go through it frame by frame. :D

I imagine it's the last - the movie is only 2.5 months away. (At least the last American trailer...I know the others had some international trailers)

WOW!!! I am *so* happy with how this is turning out. There is just so much growth in these characters.

i love the scene were Hermione takes Ron's hand... and where she tells draco off, and then hits him. the end, where Danny yells, "Expecto Patronum" oh, man! that is gonna be so cool to see in the theater!!

i like the direction the new director is taking this series. i'd rather see it based on character relationships and their interaction, rather than "magical chase scenes". i hope we can get him back for one of the later movies.

Tom Felton's "acting" when "beaten", as you put it, does the job convincingly enough to not have me observing him before you pointed that. And the scene where Lupin pulls out the boggart in the form of a Dementor is *exactly* as I pictured it in the book.

Yeah, that happy trailer music when "Something Wicked This Way Comes" came onscreen threw me off. Weird. Anyway, I thought it was interesting how they're trying to fan A LOT more interest in the relationship between Hermione and Ron. That short blurb was sweet, but it probably would've been just as good a move to keep that under wraps for bit longer. But the new trailer is definitely ARRESTING. Alan Rickman is just as brilliant as ever as Professor Snape--I'm getting totally psyched!

ive seen it several times now and the music does bother me in the first half of the trailer, but once we finally see the dementor and the hyppogriffe (sp) taking off....the music is perfect! my quesion is who is standing in the background behind harry when he lets of the patranos spell athe very end...it looks ghostly and id almost put my money on it being his father......but ya....the trailer definitely has got me excited and looking forward to it.....ive been sceptical since the choir trailer and the time length announcement....while the length still makes me nervous.....this has definitely drowned many of my fears...it looks a ton better than the first two....

Hmm... well it was excellent! I loved it! The thing is, not everyone is as keen on fantasy like me, so they should've fixed up the Knight Bus' caretaker not too look so...fantasmic... it got a bit annoying seeing harry slam on the knight bus, not trailer material... I LOVE the dementors! The great music start at the end just really amazed me, but come on, dont get the stupid cheesy scenes... "I hope he finds me" i felt like hitting something why dont you shut up little stupid kid... And the whole "Expecto Patronum" You cant really like that unless youve read the books, so bleh! Horrible way to end a trailer but the main part of it was fantastic! Amazing....this director is the best....

Who do you think that person behind Harry is? Its not Harry, because at that point Harry is either close to fainting and surrounded by dementors, or casting the spell. We see the one casting the spell, and the person behind him can't be the other potter because of the way the one casting the spell is facing. (Man, that was confusing). I think it was the Three broomsticks, McGonagal holds a drink, also Fudge is there and the person next to him whose face you cannot see must be Madam Rosemerta. I think in the book Hagrid and Prof Flitwick were there.

There have been plenty of hints that Quidditch is in this one, and some outright "hey, quidditch is in the movie" statements. There have been a few set reports on sites like www.hp4u.co.uk where it was mentioned the set visitors saw them filming quidditch scenes including them playing in a storm complete with a player or 2 being struck by lightening.

Here is a section of one of the set reports on that website that talks about Quidditch. I'm putting it in spoiler tags because it reveals some things about the movie.

we were watching the scene of the Quidditch match, when Harry hasnt managed his Patronus spell yet, a good five minutes footage, hovering over the whole stadium, through the clouds, the rain, underneath him (in the book) he looks down, horrified, to see hundreds of Dementors,but in the film he is chased through the clouds by Dozens of them, the action was truly amazing, he is frantically trying to get away from them but they are chasing him through the clouds, high above the stadium. For me, unfortunately being a huge JK fan I dont think the extra ideas should be added (more of them later).
ALL of the Quidditch scenes, for all the movies so far, have been filmed in a huge warehouse type room, completely blue walls,floor,ceiling,etc,brilliant,we saw one of Harries doubles flying through the sky on a wild broomstick, terrifying, about 10ft of the floor that is) on a specially rigged broomstick with around 20 crew around him, looked great, I cannot stress enough, the people that are needed to make just one scene possible is amazing, each unit crew consists of around 200 and there are at least 3 crews. All top professionals.
There is just one 'real' stadium stand, this we see though the first 3 films, although in the films it seems as though there are many, through special effects the various crowds are filmed in there and then put together for the final scenes.

Like Angelixx said, they can fly in the movie. It's mentioned in the spoiler information I put in my post.

Angelixx - so far nothing's led me to believe they'll even have the quidditch cup in this movie. The only quidditch game mentioned so far that I know of is the one in the storm, although that picture Trelaw-Knee posted doesn't look like it's in a storm.

I myself don't understand why they didn't decide to put Wood in this one. Like you said, he could be in it for a split-second, at least.

I was thinking that too.............i cant remember the book properly but i thought they had to wait for a while, or either the lighting is a bit off or maybe the sky darkens too before they enter their room thing......but nothing for sure, sorry

In the book, when the train stops night has already fallen...and it's raining. Heavily. I was concerned when I saw the teaser because it presented the train stopped at *daylight* and without a hint of rain. Thankfully, with a lil' CG magic, they changed the weather and time of day for the final film (as seen in the theatrical trailer).

I just noticed something REALLY cool.

Watch the trailer, then try to stop it when the dementors are on the bus.
If you do it right, you can see a thin "mist?" or steam-like thingy going from the compartent to the dementors mouth.

You know? Like when the dementors are sucking on everyone's happiness? When they're feeding?

I think the veil is dumb. They might have looked like ringwraiths, but I wouldn't mind. I think the ringwraiths were awesome, and wouldn't mind a repeat.

The veil is very realistic and practical when you think about it. In book form, they can be hooded and you never see their face, but it loses some of its believability in a movie. You couldn't see the faces of the ringwraiths because they had no visible faces, but in order for a face to be hidden by a simple hood, the hood would have to be huge and hang out over the face for quite a ways. I know it's a fantasy, but it would be pretty unrealistic to believe that no one ever saw their faces unless they lowered their hoods. Especially when coming from a child's point of view which would be from a low angle, being able to see under even the largest hood.

With a veil, there's no questioning whether the faces would truly be hidden or not. I think it adds a lot of creepiness. The only way you'd be able to catch a glimpse of their faces would be to remove the veil yourself, which would be like looking under a blanket or a rock to find a snake (not sure how to explain the image in my head), or for them to lift the veil, which you wouldn't want to happen because they only do it for the Kiss.

My only complaint about the dementors is their hands. They look too much like skeletons. I always pictured them as leprous human hands, rotting but still pretty whole. Overall, though, I'm very pleased with the dementors. If they looked exactly as I pictured them, there wouldn't be much anticipation in seeing them.

Hey, a girl got to see an advanced showing of POA, here are the major changes from the book:
-Quidditch: I don't like the new uniforms. It could have
been that they looked like rain slickers because the game was played in the
rain, but I really do like the ones from the first two movies better.
Also, I can easily think of a way to put in the other two matches so that we get to see Gryffindor win the cup. This film is over a half hour shorter than "Chamber of Secrets" — it would have been
simple.

-The script has Harry see Pettigrew on the Marauder's Map
before Lupin does: There was no reason for this, except to have Harry run into Snape and do the "turn out your pockets, Potter" scene. If they had had the cloak slip off Harry's head in Hogsmeade, they could have done that scene where it's supposed to be.

-The Shrieking Shack: This scene was WAY too fast. They don't go into the fact that Prongs is James, Padfoot is Sirius, etc., or that the three became Animagi for Lupin. They could have made it about two minutes longer, explained the whole history behind why Sirius is there trying to do what he's trying to do, and it would have been much better.

-Yeah, the werewolf looks weird: But I got over this really fast,
because it's not a crucial plot element. Who cares, really? (Another little "who cares?" moment is the fact that the entrance to the Gryffindor common room has changed locations: it's now at the top of a staircase instead of in a corridor, and they changed Fat Ladies. It's a magic castle, though, so I've explained that one away quite nicely.)

-They kept the ending: And by this, I mean the one that I
heard was rumored to have gotten bad feedback at a test screening weeks ago. As we all know, Oliver Wood is not in this one, so that complicates things regarding the Firebolt. Harry gets it in the end, and flies off on it.

And that's where the movie ends, on a very abrupt note. It's the
way they did the last shot, a freeze-frame on Harry's face, instead of Harry flying by and then a fade-out on the castle.

omg im kinda upset now they are ruining the movie HOW THE H E L L can Harry see pettigrew on the map first........who came up with that stupid litle idea??? that totally ruins evverything its completely pointlesss and i still cant get ovr the cutting of oliver wood but they cut out gryffindor winning the cup too?? omg i wouldnt even have minded if they put the dementors in the same match as the cup finals or just completely scrapped the dementor match as long as we got the cup!!!! o im so disapointed o they better not have completely ruined the shreiking shack scene or ill have to just leave the theatre......o im so depressed now and i was all happy cus of all the new images......Jared plz tell us ur kidding about the ending......that has to be one of the dumbest endings i have ever heard of.......thsi is gonna be spoofed so badly

It was kinda creepy but really powerful. The only thing that really bothered me was that it seemed like Sirius Black (according to the way it was cut) says something like "Come out and play Harry!" Why in the world would they give a VOLDEMORT line (from GOF) to Sirius, the godfather Harry grows to love? He wasn't supposed to actually say bad things, people were only supposed to asssume he was bad. I don't know....and they also make Sirius seem mad, I mean I know he is a little (Azkaban will do that to you) but in the movie he is like CRAZY. There's this creepy loony smile Sirius gives Harry when Harry is trying to kill him...it just doesn't fit- it's soo weird I can't even explain it. It's completely wrong. I just hope I can stop picking apart a movie I haven't even seen yet and enjoy it on its own.

I actually imagined Sirius being a little more built than Oldman is, but he still fits the part rather well.

I just saw the new trailer before Shrek 2 today (I can't seem to find it online anywhere.) With each new preview I see, it seems that Radcliff and Rickman are fulfilling their parts better than they did in the previous two movies.
