Maybe they can do this, like a movie with Spider-Man and Deardevil, and like Spider-Man and Deardevil is after kingpin, but the two hero's goes againts each other for diffrent judgements againts the villian. Like Spider-Man wants to stop Kingpin and throw him in jail, and Deardevil wants to kill him this time for somkthing he did really bad to him. So like Deardevil is fighting Kingpin and bought to kill him, Then Spidey comes in and the two start to fight, while kingpin runs off and does a secret lil thing while there fighting. Spider-Man vs. Deardevil. They both live in the same world so why not I would like to see the two fight.

Sony, Marvel Planning 'Spider-Man 3' Movie


LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Anticipating a successful summer blockbuster with the movie "Spider-Man 2," film studio Sony Pictures Entertainment and comic book publisher Marvel Enterprises Inc. are already planning a "Spider-Man 3."


Speaking to financial analysts and reporters on a conference call on Tuesday, Marvel's film chief Avi Arad said a "Spider-Man 3" movie would likely be in theaters in 2007.


"(The) best-case scenario I can tell you (is) 2006. It is a big movie, and we would rather play it safe and talk about 2007 at this point," Arad said.


A Sony Pictures spokesman on Wednesday confirmed that the two companies had already started development plans for a third "Spider-Man" movie, but declined to offer further details.


Sony Pictures is a unit of Japanese electronics firm Sony Corp (news - web sites). Sony and Marvel will roll out "Spider-Man 2" on July 2 this summer as a sequel to 2002's hit "Spider-Man," starring Tobey Maguire (news) as the crime-fighting superhero who first appeared in Marvel comic books.


"Spider-Man" was the highest-grossing film of 2002, amassing over $800 million in worldwide ticket sales, and it still holds the box office record for the biggest three-day domestic debut ever with $115 million in ticket sales.


Meanwhile, Sony and Marvel remain snarled in a web of litigation over their original "Spider-Man" collaboration.


Marvel sued Sony Pictures in February 2003 seeking at least $50 million in compensatory damages and termination of their joint "Spider-Man" licensing venture.


Marvel has accused Sony of trying to hijack the Spider-Man brand by claiming exclusive merchandising rights to the character and "cross-promoting" the superhero with other Sony features in alleged violation of their partnership.


Sony counters that Marvel sought to cheat the studio out of millions of dollars through shady accounting practices and was using its litigation as leverage to pressure the studio into renegotiating the terms of their licensing deal.


The case was submitted last August to a court-appointed referee and is expected to formally heard by retired California appeals court justice Richard Neal this fall.

Why is everybody so persistent that there won’t be a SM 4 just because the cast only signed up for 3 films?:confused: Don’t you think the cast could renew their contracts or something like that? Or perhaps get a different cast???:rolleyes: I have not heard one hint of this of this being a trilogy except for the cast signing only for three films. Maybe there won’t be an SM4, yet maybe, there will. Just stop saying there will be only three films unless you have proof (and this goes to all of you). And I don’t consider anything about the cast signing for only 3 films or any articles from stupid newspapers or magazines claiming SM will be a trilogy. The proof I want is actual word from someone working on the films saying something like “ Yep it’s a trilogy, we won’t be doing SM4,” or at least somthing like that.

I thought lizard was supposed to have an appreance in the film :S

and i used to think venom would make a good enemy...but thinking about it i dont think it would work " mmm brains..yummy" and if they did, vin deasil best not be anywhere near it! I would however like to see sandman or perhaps the lizard. I personally dont want to see another golblin in the films.

Everyone wants to see venom, but he wouldn't appear until a 4th or 5th one, and yes I read an article where avi arad said there would be as many as 6! I'm guessing the lizard is the next villain, but there's still the 2nd GG but I'm not sure when he's making his appearance. Less than 2 months for Spidey 2!

I think Kingpin should at least be a villian in one of the movies. Maybe, it could be sometime after he fought DD and he is finally released from prison, and he is making his way back up into the crime world, but is stopped by Spidey.

i think you can forget the one with kingpin. he was in DD and afaik he can't be in Spidey cuz different studios have bought rights of each characters and kingpis is 20fox...and spidey is sony columbia...or am i now totaly wrong?

I believe that I read Jake Gyllenhaal will have a cameo appearance as Kletus Kasady in Spider-Man 2, which will set-up for his larger role of Carnage in Spider-Man 3 alongside Venom.

they cant have venom in sm3 too much story to tell they should at least wait till sm5 or somehing and intro duce eddie in sm3 build his character from there in sm 4 peter would wear the suit reject it eddie gets it and that leadinto sm5 personally i think venonm should should be the last sequel in the franchise..itll be better to build up eddies hatred for sm/peter

To me, from a story point of view, it makes sense to have either the Lizard or Harry (as GG2 or Hobgoblin) as a villain, not both.

But I don't think audiences would tolerate having Harry sit around another film doing nothing, so it'll most likely be him in 3.

They could, however, work the symbiote-enhanced Spidey in nicely plotwise to counter the Lizard as a villain. Both know Spidey and Connors in these situations know that their alter-egos are harmful and dangerous. But each is too selfish to let that other side go. :)
