I don't know how many of you folks have seen this marvelous DVD. It was done by a small independent group and lasts only about 5 or 6 minutes, but it is GREAT. It's about Batman encountering Aliens (from the movies of the same name) and Predators (The same). The fellow they got to play Batman looks the part (Unlike the underweight actors who have been Batman in the past) and the costume is right out of "Batman the animated series) Trust me folks, you gotta see this to believe it. It's Batman as Batman should be.

Jack,
Stick to your Stargate - which by the looks of it, you are going to die this coming Friday.
The 5 minute movie is dark - as it should be for Batman - but the idea of Batman fighting the Alien and Predator sucked. And it showed at the end of the movie.
I forget, did it end by saying: The End?

*just sighs* no mention of the Joker whatsoever...ot that the "movie" was a RESUME to get this kid a job. The only reason the Predator and Alien was *in* the damned thing was to show that he could handle special effects...
But you know...since Batman HAS met both the Predators AND the Aliens in the funny books...maybe the short film isn't that silly.
look at it for what it is...a foot in the door for this kid. I admire him for it.

the ending is cool because you know that Batman is going to whoop the alien and the predator's asses

Its really great until the Alien comes along, then it gets a little too surreal for me.

That little movie kicked ass. Batman vs Predator and Batman vs Aliens were both highly successful and popular comic books.
That Joker was very nicely done, too.

Eh, I thought the Joker was poorly acted. The concept was interesting and the way it was shot was very good however overall I don't think it was as good as some people make out. Personally it didn't really have all that much to it. Batman gets dressed, fights and talks to Joker for a bit and then fights Aliens and Predators.
I thought it was an interesting little short...

I saw this last summer. I thought it was ok; it started of really well it was well shot and had the right atmosphere! It also had a great looking batman... i mean fantastic, Then in comes the joker...had the makings of a cool batman short ( even if the Dialogue was dire) then BAM in comes alien and a predator...what the ****....Ollie no like!
I wouldn’t say it was small budget, if i remember it cost up wards of $60,000 as they completely built the alleyway from scratch on a sound stage. Also I think the director was attempting to show off his directing talents. I think he has worked on a fair few films as well, on the effects side of things.

From an interview with BATMAN: DEAD END Director Sandy Collora...
"I made this film as a showcase or calling card for my filmmaking abilities. I'm a big fan of the Batman/ Predator books, as well as the Batman/Aliens titles, which for some reason, certain fans are writing off, choosing not to recognize the history between these characters. What I can say honestly is this, The crowd at the Comic Con, in BOTH showings of the film, went completely NUTS when the creatures showed up, and there was nothing but positive response. At the masquerade, people were literally standing on their chairs, cheering when the Alien rises behind Batman. That being said, I can respect people¹s opinions on the crossover, when you make a film, or do anything creative for that matter which is put in the public eye intentionally or unintentionally, you have to take the negative feedback as well as the good, and be able to handle all of it with grace and humility."
"The budget was a little over 30 thousand dollars, and the film was shot in 4 days by cinematographer Vince Toto. We had a very small lighting package, minimal equipment, and a very small crew."
