Final Fantasy The Movie.

I think its about time a new final fantasy movie was made but one thats lets say isnt anything at all like "the spirits within" which although i enjoyed to a certain degree, was not the games i grew up playing, does anyone know of a film or manga version of these games???:D FF THE MOVIE

There is Final Fantasy Advent Children, The story is continueing the game Final Fantasy 7 i think. It's going to be released in Japan and i think its a short movie. thats all i know. i cant believe they ruined the first Final fantasy movie! the spirits within really sucked, and they should've made a movie thats connected to the games.

The movie started off really well, but then it fell apart and i just didn't care what happened to the characters.

The movie was a bomb. It made like 30 million at the box office and took 100 million more than that to make.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children looks great, though. I think it's just that Squaresoft should have picked a more easy-to-get-into action flick as their first project than an arty romantic drama -- there's no chance for a huge movie primed to be a blockbuster to be one of those movies that "finds its audience."

I think there wasn't any fault by Squaresoft (their Animatrix segment was fantastic), and I don't think it was a terrible movie, but I think it was a bad first choice.

I really liked The Spirits Within. It's only real flaw was the name. Why the hell was it called Final Fantasy?!

it had nothing to do with final fantasy, but i enjoyed the movie. i mean i grew up with the games, and i realy love them so i can't wait for "advent children".

The whole name really does violate the laws of irony anyway. There have been eleven Final Fantasy's, not including tactics or any of the other spin offs, as well as a movie? There's nothing final about this franchise whatsoever.
On a movie-related note, though, Advent Children seems to be the movie every FF fan was hoping for a few years ago. It should be a good movie for fans.

I would like to see a final fantasy 10 movie with yuna and that. Although I'm probably the only one. Or even final fantasy 10 2. Though that's still a relatively new game out I think they should make a movie on that too. There both my favorite final fantasy games.

as krazy_marco74 mentionned: there will be a new movie called "FF - advent children".
It will be only released on DVD. it won't be only a short movie.

I hope it will be as well as "the spirtits within" or even better. because I think that the story of the first film was quite good but it doesn't come up to the story of the computer games.

It's only 60 minutes. Not a whole movie. As of yet there are no plans to release it in the US...:(
