I saw trailers for this in the summer, and I recall an Entertainment Weekly issue I bought at an airport telling me it was scheduled for fall 2003.
I thought this movie looked good, but I didn't see the flick in theaters -- did I miss it's release or did it get delayed? I'm too tired to look it up, and I figured this thread can also be used to talk about the flick.

Whoa...it must have.
Damn it, it looked like it could have been a good thriller.

Was this the one where his wife got ran over and he chases after this old car trying to find the guy? He eventually saves tis lady who helps track down the killer car?
If so, I forgot all about that. Seemed like a good one too. A good thriller rental anyway.

Plot Summary: From director Robert Harmon, who set the bar for road thrillers with 1986’s "The Hitcher," comes a new tale of the dangers of the open highway. A serial killer hunts and murders women using his '72 El Dorado. With no leads, a man whose wife fell victim to the killer (Caviezel) and the only woman to survive an attack (Mitra) must band together to hunt this deranged madman alone.

Ahh yes, Jim Caviezel. Thats it. I wanted to see this. Seemed like a nice low budget thriller.

lol, I had been going to put Caviezel's name in my first post, but I couldn't figure out how to spell it, and, of course, I didn't want to look it up either.
I hadn't heard of it until the EW article, which got a little curiosity from me, but it sounded like a slow, dramatic thriller, which I wasn't interested in at the time, so I sort of dismissed it.
Then the trailer played, I believe with FvJ, and I thought it looked great, the car stuff was really intense and the acting seemed to be pretty good. I just saw a pic from it on another website and it came rushing back. Something to look forward to.

Besides Angel Eyes I dont think Caviezel has ever done a bad job. Then again that only sucked because he was working with that slut j-ho. I think it should work out pretty good. Seems like it might have the feeling to it that Joy Ride had but maybe a bit more serious.

I enjoyed him in Frequency, which was a bit unbelievable, but still a fun flick, good performances, a hint of a darker Back to the Future.
I only saw part of The Count of Monte Cristo, but is that him? I recall the credit on that movie being "James Caviezel" and not "Jim," which is on Frequency.

Yeah Frequency was good. I went to the theaters to see it and had a good time.
He does go by James sometimes. I think for The Passion he is credited as James as well but goes by Jim on others.
I cant wait for the passion. I am not a religious freak but I bet he pulls of Jesus very well.
He has a pretty good range. From crazy marine in that movie with Ashley Judd to a determined husband trying to catch his wifes killer in Highwaymen to a sword fighting Cristo and then up to Jesus!
He should be one of those actors that always does a great job in anything handed to him. Like Morgan Freeman.

Oh, yeah, High Crimes. If High Crimes hadn't been so paint-by-the-numbers it could have been better, but the actors all seemed to give it their best shot...

Ya,I forgot about this movie too up until recently. This movie has been delayed for so long,I don't know when there offically are gonna release it. This movie was either made in 2001 0r 2002 one of those two years, because it wasn't made recently.

Really? I think I remember that now from the article...
Unfortunately, that's a bad sign, hope it doesn't mean the movie sucks.
Here's what I know about the Highwaymen. It will be release on Feb 13 definately, at first it was said that only in the southwest in about 100 theaters only and since I live here in San Diego CA I thought I might get to see it, I found out that they'll show it in Texas and New Mexico only and if it do well then it will have a wider release and if not it's direct to the dvd.

That's depressing. No wonder the stock is dropping like a stone on HSX.
