VanHelsing comes out in what, June?
then Blade 3 in August..
Hopefully there won't be a big drop-off of interest in the horror-action genre this year..

No, Blade Trinity is gonna do fine at the Box Office. The Blade series has an evergrowing fanbase. Plus the
comic book/horror-action genre has never been so popular.

Van Helsing comes out in May not June!

Let's pray it doesn't... I have more faith in TRINITY delivering than Van Helsing

The Blade Franchise is the only comic-book series the Oscar suits like, so the new film is most likely going to be along the same quality as the first 2.
Van Helsing has heavily gone down in hype after that trailer, because it's currently crap at one of the things it should be good at (special effects).
I personally think they should have not made Van Helsing - it's ruined the Dracula novel by making it contradict.

I will check out both. I did think the VH trailer needs some work but it still has time.
Blade should be better though.
Who is directing Blade 3? Guillermo again?

David Goyer is directing this time around.

Couldn't have said it better JPDILL.... Your posts ROCK!!!:applaud:
I think it failed too at the one aspect it should have excelled at. I think the reaction (outside the Jackman fans) has been very cold. I think they should have focused on one monster instead of so many at one time.
Trailers are suppose to entice the audiences. This one left me disappointed and unimpressed.
Sommers strikes again!

They've ruined the books Frankenstein and Dracula - i bet you in about 30 years time, children will write in their English essays "Dracula went on to fight Van Helsing once more with the Wolfman and Frankestein, whilst Mina Harker became a super-hero".
Arghh!
Another thing i'm bummed about:
It's Frankenstein's MONSTER not blimin Frankenstein.

If Van is good, then what would that do otherthan make everyone hungry for more!
If it sucks that will make Blade look better at the end of the day.
I win.
Besides, it's less a vampire story and more a monster story. From what we've heard about Blade it's much more psychological and story driven then a monster romp.
and let's face it, which movies have had the best non-sell out(hongkong) brutal action best fights in them?
Trinity is coming and it's taking no prisoners.

I personally am anticipating Trinity more than Van Helsing at this point.
Gimme Snipes!!!

wow i personally thought the first blade film sucked, and the second was only slightly better but still way too cheesy! i think it will take a lot for me to like the third one, and i dont know where you got the idea that "oscar suits" like the blade movies. i think they are at best average, although i do admit the opening in the first blade film was bad a$$!

How has it ruined the Dracula novel? Van Helsing is a character created by Bram Stroker aswell, remember. You should make it more clear that THE MOVIE has ruined the novel, not the character himself. Not that you know if the movie has yet, no one has seen it.
Van Helsing is a great character, and Hugh Jackman is the perfect casting choice. I just hope that strange mixture of accents ( Australian and Canadian. Canadian being for his Wolverine role ) doesn't come through very much in his lines as Van Helsing is English.
Blade: Trinity will kickass, remember that has Dracula in it aswell. Both are completely different stories, so if you want to compare them the only way to do it is with the as-for-mentioned character. I honestly believe he will be played better in Van Helsing, as Blade: Trinity will have a more... Modern version, and that isn't to my tastes when it comes down to how I feel he should be portrayed.
Bring back Gary Oldman!

WHoa Whoa Whoa slow down there. First of all you can't judge a movie just because what you seen on the Trailer. From what I heard they are working on some CGI effects still so don't judge a movie until you have seen it!

Blade will not be affected by Van Helsing. Van Helsing opens in may, Blade opens in decemebr. Besides, Blade already has a fan base
