Till I was about 13, I always thought the words in Purple Haze were "Excuse me, while I kiss this guy." Then I found out it was actually "...kiss the sky", and thought a whole lot better about Jimmy Hendrix. :p Does this happen to anyone else?

When I was about 7 or 8 I swore the guy (Billy Idol?) was singing - "In the middle of the nile, I go walking in my sleep. Instead of in the middle of the night. In my defence he was singing about africa I think.

For a long time I thought that the "All along the watchtower" lyric where hendrix says "the hours getting late" was "I was getting laid". I thought that a long time ago when I was getting into that music.
