Anyone read Rising Stars?

I used to read this all the time but I quit buying them due to lack of funds. The last one I bought was right after the government found a way to knock people's powers out and the guy that was Flagg died. What's been going on since then?

If you have the issue where Jason dies, then there's only one issue after that... #21


The series is supposed to go to issue #24... but J. Michael Straczynski and Top Cow had some disagreements and then JMS wouldn't give up his last 3 scripts until Top Cow changed the error of their ways.
The whole thing had to do with Top Cow and MGM studios making a movie of Rising Stars and it not turning out exactly as JMS wanted.
...and from what I know about it, JMS is in the right here.

anyway, everything was supposedly worked out and now the last three issues will finally be made.

So, if you really want to know what happens, I suggest you just find issue #21...and then hopefully in the next few months we'll have issue #22.

I'd also recommend getting "Supreme Power"... a series that JMS is writing for Marvel currently and it's one of the best out there.

I'd also recommend a graphic novel called "Midnight Nation" by JMS just because it's one of my favorites. :)

As for issue #21, Randy tells John that he is going to run for the presidency of the U.S.
...and they decide that they'll need some blackmail information against the government and government officials... they get the help of Lionel, the man who can talk to the dead, and take him to Arlington National Cemetery.
