I thought it would be cool to have a thread on the guitar. Like guitarists could post tips, questions, tabs, scales, and other stuff. Please post pics of your guitar equipment. Guitar, amp, other stuff.

Hopefully there's enough guitarists out there to make this work *crosses fingers*.

I'll post some stuff later. It's late and i've been up since last year.

Isn't this better suited for the music board?

It'll get moved eventually. :)

Speaking of guitars, I just bought a Falcon Acoustic on tuesday and I'm having a crack at some Bob Dylan songs. I'll get good in time i reckon :)

I own two guitars, an Ibanez and Gibson Epiphone. I'm alright, still trying to learn and get better.

Olga.net is a good site for tabs.

I have an electric CS 350 stage guitar....I got it last year and haven't got lessons. But one of my New Years resolutions is to actually learn to play the fawking thing.

It's a lot of fun and a good way to get out of a bad mood once you put some time into it.

I also have an old Ibanez GRX-45 that I keep tuned down 2 steps so I can play QOTSA songs.

I have an Epiphone Les Paul, a Takamine acoustic, and a Yamaha electric. This is awesome I would have never thought that some of you guys play. I'm a really good rhythm guitarist but I'm trying to get better at lead guitar...particularly blues solos.

ive been playing guitar for 2 years, i just recently bought a Gibson 1967 Retro Reissue Flying V, its awesome. im not that good. but from what people say im good for playing for 2 years. so whatever. im "ok". like awakened, im more of a rhythm guitarist then a lead but i just got John Petrucci "Rock Discipline" on dvd so i hope that helps. i also have a LTD EX-100 explorer, its ok but i definitely needed a new guitar. and an Ibanez acoustic.

what kind is it?

I've been playing for well over a year. But i still have questions.

How would one play a scale on a seven string guitar?

Why are the number of coils important in pickups? I mean how does it help?

What makes humbuckers better than single pickups?

Why is it that the B has to be tuned to the fourth fret of the G?

Well..I know with multiple humbuckers you get more of a range of sound as if you were to pluck strings on an acoustic guitar in different places...if that's what you meant.

And about the tuning, if you're wondering why it isn't to the 5th fret like most of the other strings, iit was probaly just chosen that way so chords could be made easily. I mean if you think about it, it doesn't have to be tuned that way, that's just what's considered "standard tuning". It's for convienence.

My guitar is called "Gunga Din" or "Gunga" for short. :D

I haven't had chance to mess around with my guitar in ages now. Once I finnish college in June I should have all the time in the world. :)
