When I used to write, i'd write excerpts that came to mind so i wouldn't forget it, and i could also add twists earlier on too. Drawing maps of the setting also helped.

What techniques do you have as a writer?

I write some scenes first before others, so I can get them out of the way and get a clear image of them beforehand....only the difficult to write parts usually. But it's always subject to change, tweekings here and there.

And I also listen to music when I write....I can't write without music playing.

I write a storyboard first with primary and sub characters already given names so I don't have to think of what to call them when I reach their addition.

I write a synopsis first, so when I write my first draft I know exactly what happens. But so far, I am starting to stray from my synopsis, but its for the better. I am alsways changing something. But its coming along well.

i write main plots, sub plots and character info and try fix them all into place. i also listen to music when writing....since i mainly write angst type of stuff, music helps me with words.

I just write whatever comes to my head. When that all seeps out on paper I fix all the little problems. Plus I can't listen to music or be anywhere near a TV or a computer with internet access or solataire. I'm easily distracted when I write.
