Nirvana, in a lot of ppl's opinion is up there with the greatest.

Foo Fighters just havent reached the status of nirvana yet.

Nirvana. i dont care much for the FOO FIGHTERS. IMO Dave Grohl can play the hell outa drums but cant sing or songwrite worth ****.

Foo Fighters have a few good songs but most of them aren't that great. While most of Nirvana's songs are really good.

I think Nirvana gets most of its fame from Cobain blowing his face off. If he didn't kill himself, I think Nirvana would have done what every other band in the 90's does and get huge (Nevermind) and then gradually slip into nothingness. However, they peaked, he killed himself, and people think they're the greatest ever. They're good, don't get me wrong, but I don't think they're as great as a lot of their huge fans say they are.

I like listening to the Foo Fighters a lot more than I like listening to Nirvana but that doesn't mean that I think the Foos are better. In my honest opinion they can't be compared to each other because Dave Grohl was in both, they come from different time periods and they are both good for that era.

i love both bands, but the thing with nirvana is, well basically what a few people said, the only reason their the AWESOME band that they are is that cobain killed himself. foo fighters are awesome, i think dave grohl is a great songwriter. i like his voice better, too. FF are great live.

Foo Fighters are the best band. They're amazing and seeing them live is a brilliant experience. I've seem them live twice and they were ****ing awesome. Can't wait to see them again in the near future.

i would rather listen to Alice in Chains, STP, Pearl Jam over Nirvana or Foo Fighters anyday...
