wow. this is one of the best and most beautiful albums i've ever heard and i'm only on my 1st listen. i know most people on this board are more slipknot and sum41... but if you want to give something else a try you should definately get Vespertine. its like the soundtrack to your dreams or something

going to buy this weekend

im really into avantgarde metal, and music overall all avantgarde stuff with some sense of coffee house artsy feelings....some describe it that way
and traditional black metal that rules...mostly folk black metal, but yeah bjork rules. so does tori amos thats the only female singers i really dig who are big.

yea- tori amos' album comes out in a couple of weeks. she's doing all cover songs for the album though :(... although it will be interesting when i hear the remake of " '97 Bonnie and Clyde" that eminem wrote on his first album..

Is it better than her "Dancer in the Dark" soundtrack (which was great)? I heard "Hidden Place" and didn`t like it much. I also picked up Tricky`s latest recently and it was weaker than pretty much any other album of his IMO

yea-- maxinquaye was trickys best album by far, but i enjoy blowback. its not that trip-hop and its more mainstream- but i think it still has some good tracks. give it some time to grow on you.

as for selmasongs- that was a soundtrack with broadway-like songs, and written for a film. vespertine is like a normal bjork album, sort of like homogenic. get it regardlesss- i hated hidden place until i listened to it about the 4th time on the album

Alrighty, I`ll take your word for it. Cd`s are 2.50$ here anyway.

Also, Blowback wasn`t terible, I`ll listen to it again, it just didn`t live up to my expectations after Juxtapose.

Bootleg. I live in a cowboy country. We still can`t purchase copyrights, so you can buy bootleg cds on every corner. The same things goes for pc game cds, divx movies, the works. It`s great, but you`re also dependent on their music taste, which has sucked up until recently, but they`re improving.

Bjork is amazing. Vespertine has been out for a couple of years now but I do hear that she's working on a new album, to be released later in the year.
