I think Scooby-Doo was pretty lame, although it was saved by the presence of Rowan Atkinson, and the ideas were pretty funny on paper -- but I'd much rather watch the PG-13 cut of the movie, which seemed like more of a good way to poke fun at the cartoon.

I might see it, but most definitely on DVD if I did.

Another waste of film. Out of all the movie execs in Hollywood and the best thing they can come up with is a sequel to a horrible movie that never should have been made in the first place.
Why not make a sequel to Bubble Boy or better yet Gigli! (and yes that was sarcasm)
I wish I could afford to move out to Hollywood. I would work my way up to top exec and fire anyone who walked into my office with stupid ideas like scooby doo 2.

quit your cryin, this looks like a fun movie, stuff like this has to be made to balance out all the other catagories of films. I've watched the first one a few times on HBO, its a cool popcorn movie, its not settin out to be an Oscar contender. BTW Matthew Lilliard does a kick ass Shaggy.

SD is one of those movies you watch when you can't sleep and have no motivation to get up and put a DVD in. It's mindless fun, I suppose you could say. I don't really see why it warrants a sequel though. They should have just left it as one movie.

Yeah...if the movie gets any credit, it's that Matthew Lillard is an amazing Shaggy.

I thought the first film was 'fun'. It wasn't meant to be an amazing film, just a fun kids movie and it does that so dont dis it.
A sequal though, thats just stupid

I hated the first movie because it didnt stay true to the show and well it was just stupid. (but lillard was perfect shaggy)

But i do think the 2nd one could be a little better. ( i hope so since i will be forced to see it) The trailer in some ways looked more like the show. And i like that they are putting Old Man Wickles in the movie.

You are acting like the reason behind this movie is something other than $$$$.

I hadn't been planning to see the first movie, but I had to babysit and ended up with a free ticket, so i didn't pass it up. It wasn't the best movie i've ever seen, but I wouldn't call it completely stupid. My little brother and my three younger cousins (who i was babysitting) absolutely loved it, and that was the point of the whole movie - for kids to see the scooby gang as people instead of cartoons! It's a kids movie - thats all I'm saying. If i have to babysit when the sequel comes out, and i get another ticket, I'll go without thinking twice.
