It would be a close fight. Link has bombs, a boomerang, a bow, and lots of cool items, but Cloud has the summon materia.

But I actually beat the Zelda games (except the first two), but could never get past Sephiroth's summon supernova. So I vote Link.

Who cares how powerful the enemy is? The plot calls for the hero to beat him no matter what. They could have had you playing as Mickey Mouse and you still could have found a way to defeat Sephiroth.

I always favored Luigi more because of he's always shunned and a great character. He also had a game made a long time back "Mario is Missing" Only 4 people in Japan beat the game and yes it is a pain in the ass. My vote goes to Luigi...

I refuse to vote because Sonic's moved to Gamecube, which is just wrong, he ain't Nintendo, I hope he will forever be known as Judas. By the way, Link was robbed, he'd kick Cloud all over Hyrule - just whip out the ocarina, make it rain, change it to night, chop him down with his Giant's knife or other such sword and then ride his pony off into the sunset. Ken was also unlucky, he'd whoop Ryu's butt with his triple roll throw, although Ryu's victory celebrations were somewhat calmer and cooler. I'd like to see Bomberman compete in one of these fights, and why not RZA from taste the pain? One last sad idea - why not make this into a bit of a tournoi? Stick the top competitors in a bracket system and move them up the ranks until we have an ultimate champion from all games. Just an idea.

No world class game hero that's for sure, thus proving Link is king, Cloud is a big freaking nonce. Oh man not again.....CLOUD would kick that pussy Link outta the tv screen and for the same reason i gave last time.....using Mastered materia..Knights of the Round(paired)x2... mime(paired)Counter...plus final attack(paired) revive equiping clouds Ultima weapon he will hit Link for approx 75,000 points doubled per round but because mime is equiped it repeats again and again and Link wont get a chance to reply..
no course this is all cack anyway because the battle systems between the two games are incompatable
