I think it was a shot where Frodo, Sam and Gollum are climbing up the mountains near Minas Morgul and below you see the army of Minas Morgul coming out.

The only ones I saw that were at Isengard were Theoden, Gandalf, Eomer, Gamling, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli.

I think Eomer and Gamling were there, it's definite on Theoden, Gandalf, etc.

They look sweet. You'll love the close up of the one on one battles some of the soldiers have with the orcs.

Few more questions

How big is Minas Morgul?
How does the Morgai valley look?
How much time does the movie spend in Edoras?
I heard from PJ's commentary is that ROTK spends most of its time at Minas Tirith, is this true?
And last question, how long is the Smeagol- Deagol scene?

Doesnt Theodens second-hand man Gamling die in ROTK. Gamling was there to protect the king, but since the king dies, maybe Gamling does too. It seems fitting....

Today's the 10th, so i take it i'll have to ask it now:

In your opinion, what's better: LOTR or STAR WARS?

I ask, as now you have seen all the LOTRs, you can give a honest answer.

adt100
12-10-2003, 01:32 PM
I think anyone who's seen the first 2 LOTR films and read reviews of ROTK could give you a pretty easy answer to that question jpdill, and I'm sure you know what it is. ;)

I would not dare to compare the two trilogies, they are two completey different films. One takes place in outer space, one takes place in Middle earth.

I have said this before, we wouldn't have one without the other, If there was no LOTR we wouldn't have the story of SW, if there was no SW, then George Lucas would have never pushed envelope for SFX and blue screen work, therefore LOTR could not have never been made. Let's not forget PJ visted Skywalker ranch for advice on how to get the most out of the bluescreen process and ILM helped WETA with MASSIVE.

We should be thankful we have both.

Not trying to be off topic or anything but if you listen to TTT EE PJ audio commentary... There is a super dressed up version of this scene as Isengard is unleashed and PJ actually makes the comment that originally itwas in the first trailer and he needed a good long shot for this sw equence so they dressed this one up and it ended up being the Uruk-Hai on thier way to Helm's Deep... It is on Disk two using PJ audio commentary.

Little off topic but does any1 else wonder why Gandalf didnt just ask the Eagles to take Frodo and some other warriors to Mt. Doom? It would have saved months and less lives....just my thought.

Jedi,

Círdan, webmaster of herr-der-ringe-film.de said in his his review, that in his opinion there were only 2 performances being less good, which were Sean Astin as Sam ('His mourning for Frodo was at times a little too overacted') and Andy Serkis as Sméagol ('exaggerated'), can you confirm this?

I asked you earlier about Arwen's line "You have the gift of forsight." and you told me it wasn't in ROTK. But I watched an online clip from ROTK called 'It is Time' that included that line. It is a scene in Rivendell in which Arwen mentions her future son and asks Elrond what he has seen.

Is this scene in ROTK???

Thanks!

Final questions JEDI :-)

How many orcs sam kills?
Frodo and Sam use Orcs suits?
No wedding between Aragorn and Arwen?
How many fingerns have Frodo in the End of the movie?
Its true that we see an error with the opening gate in the battle of the black gate because the cutting of MoS?

Queen Arwen
12-10-2003, 06:56 PM
One final question: Is Aragorn's coronation as emotional as it is in the book?

It must me be then, I don't remember it. I do remember when Arwen is heading into the west she has a vision of Eldarion, then she decides to stay and go back to Rivendell. I have to keep an eye out for that when I see it again.

1) He killed Gorbag which is one orc, then I believe he got some Mordor Urukhai. He was truly on a mission.

2)Yes, but they only walk with an orc column for a few seconds.

3) No. should be in the EE

4)5 on the right 4 and 1/2 on the left

5) I didn't see an error.

It is just as emotional, it will even more emotional when the EE comes out because we should have the wedding of both Aragron and Arwen along with Faramir and Eowyn.

Real quick I have make a correction I answered, the famous scene with Arwen lying lifeless in bed, was not in there. I thought I saw it, I must have been thinking of a different scene. One of my friends said no it wasn't in there. In fact, that scene should be in EE because it is part of the scene where Aragorn looks into the palantir to reveal himself to Sauron and Sauron shows aragorn a grim future of Arwen through the palantir
