Merry and Pippen in ROTK

All these clips that are being released are all pretty cool, I find that Pippen is central to a lot of them. He is in a bunch of different clips, but what about poor old Merry?? Has he been shafted to the side lines in the last movie. I heard that they hardly show anything about Rohans journey from Edoras to Minis Tirith, I wonder how much screen time they give Merry. I hope he doesnt get left out of it.........hmmm..

Word is that Merry doesn't get enough screen time in the theatrical cut for ROTK. (he does not pledge to Theoden . . and their relationship is downplayed . . his scene with Eowyn is complete, but scenes after are truncated) Perhaps his scenes will be restored in the SE.

Ya, I was really looking forward to Merry Pleging to Theoden, but I knew that was out. I guess its ok as long as he gets to have his "big moment" and there is more of him in the EE. Come to think about it, I havent really heard anyone comment on his part of the witchking battle. Everyone who has seen it always mentions just Eowyn and the witchking. Wonder if they have downplayed his role in it. That would suck....
