Into the West Sound Clip Thoughts - Official Thread

I'm just after downloading the sound clips from the score. I wasn't going to listen to the final clip "Into the West" but I did(which I sort of regret in a way...lol)and I felt so sad. This probably sounds way stupid but I kept saying to myself that this is the end, the final song. The song itself sounds really sad and Annie Lennox has an amazing voice. I'm glad she was chosen for it. I have these visions of the song playing just after Frodo has departed to the Grey Havens and Sam making his way back full of sadness. Then it will probably show you various clips of the rest of the fellowship. Now that my stupid speech is finished what are your thoughts on this song?

As I said in more detail in the other thread, I think Into The West will occur after the epilogue. That's why it sounds, to many, a little upbeat for something immediately after The Grey Havens.

I wonder if the Grey Havens scene will be the end of the epilogue, or if the epilogue will be after the Grey Havens?

i bet they play it durring the credits, it sounds like the task is complete if that makes sence.
